Here's another thought for your list ... allbeit a bit morbid.

When one of you ceases to live at the end house .... what access will the remaining one have to Day Centres, Church Groups, Lunch Clubs etc - that are intended for the elderly, who pick you up in the minibus. See where the currentlyy active groups/minibuses are ...

As I said we both like Salisbury to visit and we are about thirty five miles away so we will take a drive there to see what the outside areas have to offer. It will take a lot to beat the Warminster area in our opinion.

Your second thought is a very relevant one that we also must consider so a lot of considerations to be made thanks for the info'

Yesterday we had our first of three EA visit our property to give his comments and value the property tomorrow the final two will do the same, not at the same time I may add.

Then the fun of deciding which one to choose will start the property has been cleaned from top to bottom so we are pleased with our part of the bargain.

Which EA we choose to sell with, the property will appear on RightMove and we will then have a great coverage.

When you time yourself, without racing, it's amazing how it takes 40 minutes to boil 2 eggs/grate 2" of cheese, then make two pitta breads: egg/salad cream/tomato -and- cheese/tomato, wrap up one set in foil and put in the fridge, eat the other one, then do the small amount of washing up.

    40 minutes!

I would have thought it suited you to do it in a sort of time and motion study manner, super efficiently. :).

...have you looked at the other local towns?

There are lots of small towns in the area

It's difficult to do it faster really.... because one of my foibles is I like to make the least mess/mayhem as I work. So many people are haphazard and happy-go-lucky chucking things here there and everywhere ... ending up with a mess. I work slowly/methodically, ensuring I've no "mess" to clear up once finished :)

I am messy. But quite fast. :D.

Different hunt staff to my preference out hunting here locally. They aren't as good, this has resulted in crossing boundaries that are not meant to. Despite not being very active ATM I hobbled out on to the road waving my arms screeching like a mad woman, 'no faster than a trot past my VeRY OLD HORseS PLEASE' and ' does my neighbour know your hounds are in his farmyard (I know he'd flip)

Anyway, I looked like a barking mad woman, and will no doubt be the talk of the pub tonight, but .......they did slow to a trot.

Good for you Lir proud that your voice was heard and you were given respect.

Reminded me of a Lady who lived in a Thatched Roof Cottage on the Isle of Skye who would scream at the top of her voice and wave her stick at people who worked on a Sunday because it was against her Religion and she was like a living Jekyll and Hyde, so we drove by steadily not to anger her more.

Not so sure it was respect Bertie. When you see mad peoe the first line of self defence is usually to humour them .....;)

    ...

Lots of choice there Lir we will be looking at what money we end up with after the sale has been completed that will decide the final outcome.

We are also trying to keep away towns that have streets with hills that can be uncomfortable walking as we progress in age.

    Thank's for your interesting ideas.;)

This conversation has been interesting for me. I thought that LIR was about 50-100 miles further North than she actually is.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I am a bit annoyed at my employer today .... this relationship won't last long as they're chaotic.

It doesn't affect me... but they verbally removed instantly a cash benefit to employees that meet a particular criteria. Verbally removed, then didn't even pay one who had met the criteria.

It's stuff like that that makes you know you need to move on.

I'll just get settled, set/achieve myself some CV-friendly objectives/targets, then look around....

The person who won't be getting their cash payment (say £350 for argument's sake) can't do anything as their face doesn't fit and they'll be up the road, even though they're good at their job, their face just doesn't fit......

SO are you selling before buying? Where will you live in the meantime?
