When my neighbour was burgled they cleaned the house. Apparently it is harder to realise what is missing if there isn't a ring of dust where something should be standing...
I do think that makes it even worse - the thought and planning that has gone into it... cleaning to make noticing more difficult, taking things not in sequence for the same reason.0 -
and yes to haggis!

DH doesn't eat any herbs or spices in any meal as they upset his stomach (he's awaiting a major surgery). So I go to Sainsbury and they do these freezer bits that last forever. I use their basil, the pesto cubes, finely chopped garlic, coriander, and their cute chilli ice cubes. They last ages, you can cook for one and then just reseal it and chuck it back in the freezer for next time. They are often on 3 for 2, so for about £2.50 you can have three different herbs and spices that even used regularly will probably last ages.
I like the tiniest amount of garlic in my food, no more, so I just use a sprinkling of the finely chopped bits on a teaspoon and it is gorgeous. I think that bag will last me about 3 years the rate I'm going...0 -

To which I'd add, don't kick the tyres. My mechanic says you can always tell someone who knows nothing about cars because they kick the tyres, thinking it is something you should do. However it's about the only thing you shouldn't do as it tells you nothing.
This is quite good advice:

Your like that very pretty but marginally unstable one of those mother of the years, no?
That's what I was afraid you would think! Stereotypes!

We had a few trinkets that went missing when we had one particular mother's help, and I tended to take your DS's view. We left stuff lying around that was not very valuable but was apparently a temptation, and it was wrong of us to do that.
That's the thing, nothing left lying round went missing. New trinkets gone, no cashcards disappeared. Then thisProbably she justified it by thinking she wasn't a thief just taking part in a fraud!

Silver, a friend of mine who works in a jail, says that the nicest people are the fraudsters, followed by the murderers. The worst people in there are the little towrags that mug people or have shall we say, anger management issues. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I can't picture what I imagine that you look like silver, except that you have nice nails. In my head I think you have dark brown hair and brown eyes, but that could be as a result of both Jewish ancestry and your choice of nail colours. Other than that I can't imagine. I'm probably way wide of the mark already anyway. Oh, and I imagine that you are about my height. But then I imagine everyone to be my height until they say otherwise. I'm about 5'6".Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
