I like intermitent dpfasting, and dh does too, but again, I worry a bit about him doing it, but then, he also worries about me so...:D

I have been having a go at the '5:2' diet since the beginning of the year. Haven't seen much weight drop off, but I did start exercising too so I'm telling myself is what is masking it :rotfl:

The 'fast' days are definitely getting easier, and I like knowing that I can eat normally the rest of the time - I think it helps me with the willpower. If I start a 'diet' I start desperately craving things e.g. chocolate that I only really crave once a month. So after about a day I fall spectacularly off the diet wagon.

We had a few trinkets that went missing when we had one particular mother's help, and I tended to take your DS's view. We left stuff lying around that was not very valuable but was apparently a temptation, and it was wrong of us to do that.

However, that's wildly different from a carefully orchestrated and pre-meditated cheque fraud for £10000's.

TS uses garlic/ginger paste, tomato puree, lemon juice, gram flour, dried fenugreek leaves, fresh coriander leaves, cumin powder, chilli powder,.
I have one of those :) Never had/bought gram flour or dried fenugreek leaves, nor fresh coriander. So I have to start with a recipe that contains things I've got/had before :)

If you're practicing with herbs and spices you could do what I've started doing. DH doesn't eat any herbs or spices in any meal as they upset his stomach (he's awaiting a major surgery). So I go to Sainsbury and they do these freezer bits that last forever. I use their basil, the pesto cubes, finely chopped garlic, coriander, and their cute chilli ice cubes. They last ages, you can cook for one and then just reseal it and chuck it back in the freezer for next time. They are often on 3 for 2, so for about £2.50 you can have three different herbs and spices that even used regularly will probably last ages.

I like the tiniest amount of garlic in my food, no more, so I just use a sprinkling of the finely chopped bits on a teaspoon and it is gorgeous. I think that bag will last me about 3 years the rate I'm going...

You didn't look scruffy. And the mrs and kids certainly didn't.

I decipher that as meaning the Mrs and kids were smart but Michaels was less so. Quite a bit less so. :)

    Edit: Me <-- a slob, and I don't care!

We wondered on that, if she was a common thief she could have taken cash or ipads or TVs, some jewellery. No this was planned deception.

That's the thing isn't it? If she stole your jewellery - no disrespect but you'd have to steal a lot to get to £20k and then fencing it would bring in a whole lot less. Plus you'd notice pretty quickly.

When my neighbour was burgled they cleaned the house. Apparently it is harder to realise what is missing if there isn't a ring of dust where something should be standing...

Ooh - just remembered what else I was going to reply to.

Haggis - I was half thinking of getting one in for tomorrow (I am half Scottish after all). I like making days with food (like having Chinesey food at Chinese New Year, pancakes on pancake day etc). Couldn't see any in Sainsbury's when I popped in this evening for milk. I also now have a fridge full of bargain food so it's probably a good job anyway :)

I have a Robert Burn's themed beer courtesy of Lidl - that will have to do!

Not at all, I think you were a hit. You surprised me by seeming so at ease, I was worried ypu might feel swamped but you were GREAT and I was delighted when you enjoyed the day, it was the best result. :)
I was overwhelmed... by many peoples being there :)
I loitered more at the edges most of the time.

I DID enjoy my time :)

I'm coming back one day .... you can't move :)

I'm not a twitching loony/scarey type at all ... you'd "never know" if you didn't know.

Glad I didn't offend anybody without realising :)
At least, I still assume I didn't.... I'll never know unless told.
