LIR I am officially inviting you and DH to come and stay with us one weekend and while here you and DH can borrow the master bathroom for a couple of hours....
You are so sweet. But who will do the horses?
There has been first moves of real legal action set in motion and it seems to have spurred them into action. I may be bathing next week. If I don't log in for a while you will know I am in the bath. I intend to turn into a raisin girl. I have serious reading stacked up, and bath bombs.0 -

Wierd - my pc just played a microsoft advert through the speaker although as far as I can see I don't have anything open that it is playing in. I hate it when the kids use the computer, with 2 minutes it is suddenly full of pop-ups and other junk. I ask why they don't use their own computer? Apparently it takes too long to boot and then is too slow - I can't think whyI think....0

Double posh alert, having a cleaner and having something worth taking in the house...
We wondered on that, if she was a common thief she could have taken cash or ipads or TVs, some jewellery. No this was planned deception.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. But I will feel better soon, it's just riding out the ups and downs, so I am not miserable.0 -

Sadly as I know the balance of my bank account I can rule out the former...however I'm sure you aren't an idiot so - could you lend me a tenner please?I think....0 -
OH says it could be a friend as she occasionally brought a friend with to clean with her in half the time. The last one I suspected was not actually doing any cleaning, but that was a few weeks ago...which means she must have waited to enact the theft until the cleaner was leaving. I think we don't want to think evil of our nice cleaner. Either way she brought problems to the door.
Every sympathy Silvercar - are you satisfied that nothing else is missing and your keys/locks are secure?
I sacked our last cleaner after two strangers turned up one day let themselves in, introduced themselves to me as the cleaners and did a good job ina familiar way. My longstanding cleaner had outsourced her job to this pair whilst she did a new 'client'. I made a reason for asking for their key and then made a telephone call to explain the breach of trust, how annoyed I was and the end of employment.
On a prior occassion Mr S had arrived home to find two teenage girls cleaning - one explained she was there for her 'mum' as she was ill - OK we thought however Mr S was unsure about being in the house with two young girls in it and went out.
Our DD had asked on a few occassions if I had seen various bits (earrings, pendants etc) however I assumed she had mislaid them as she is pretty untidy. They never turned up and after we had stopped this cleaner I wondered if her 'pretty things' were too tempting to these unknown people who had access to our house.0 -

LOL, I thought if I did meet any of you (and I prefer to remain behind my virtual wall, don't panic) I would take an age to decide what to wear and how to look, to make the right impression. Very scary, I would worry that I didn't match whatever virtual image you have of me.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
