Thank you. I am sitting here with a mug of tomato soup, so I will pretend it is beer. :)

Have you managed to get a new needle in?
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

The disposable needle is stuck on the end of my 'pen'. I do not have a spare nad will need to get an emergency prescription to replace it tomorrow if i cannot get it off.

    All suggestions welcome.

Mr S is somehere by the black sea so no brawn available, I am therefore relying on NP brains. Please.

I couldn't even work out if you were trying to save the pen or the needle.

My last 4 cars have all been different manufactures and Silver, Blue, Black and White, in that order.

On top of that, 1 Saloon, 1 Estate and 2 have been 4 X 4's

Only one of them was not a good car.

    I guess I like change.

    Red, red, ice blue, white

mazda 323, hyundai lantra, honda jazz, nissan juke.

Aw, Lydia, as kind as ever :T

And, you know lir, it always feels so comfortable to come here, it does feel like real life :)

Was just watching the news while eating dinner. Several supermarkets have been selling 'beef' burgers that have been found to contain horsemeat. Makes me glad not to be a meat eater.

Anyone else think British Gas home care is going downhill?

We have a leak through the garage ceiling from the bathroom above. It only drips when someone is in the shower.

called them out and the guy says it must be on the waste or it would drip all the time. I'd worked that out. Then he says it will take too long to do the job, so he'll log it for a return visit. Complete waste of time.

Anyway I spent time on the phone today and the dipstick hadn't properly logged it, so no visit has been scheduled. Beginning to think this homecare cover is a waste of time.

Oh dear - I have had horse meat in Switzerland and France and enjoyed it. I'm not sure it makes sense to eat some animals but be squeamish about others? Obviously Trel's position is more principled.

And I hope I am not scaring you off again Trel, it is nice to have you back even if you haven't enquired whether I look like Kelis...
    I think....

I ditched British Gas years ago, both as supplier and maintenance provider. Got fed up with paying them something like £15 per month for an annual visit at which they merely waved some piece of equipment at the boiler then cleared off. Never ever cleaned it.

It's the same as washing machine insurance... a waste of money. Someone told me recently that washing machines are only designed to last 3 - 4 years!
