Gee, you do look handsome sssClick the Orange button next to the quote button on the posts you want to quote. On the last post you want to quote, click the normal quote button.
I think there is a limit to how many posts you can "multi quote" in one reply.
This is me practising new found MSE skills. I'll be matched betting next!0 -

After that I had a burgandy skoda Octavia which I inherited from my uncle. I later swapped that for my mum's silver Peugeot 306, which was later stolen.
The first car I bought is a grey Mini Cooper S JCW which is still in the garage. I wish someone would steal it, or buy it for about £5k more than it is worth.
My first car was a Renault 19 when I was 17.
I owned a 1974 VAZ-2102, then a 1991 Mercedes 190 when I lived in Russia, then bought a brand new Peugeot 206 when I returned to the UK...Reg no. PA52 TYE. When I started the company, I bought LN53 VGV (I think now scrapped), which was a Peugeot 406. It was later cabbed to death. OH had a '52' plate Lexus SC430 from 2004 to 2010. The 206 was transferred to my sister.
In 2007, I bought a brand new Ford S-Max (black) when the company took off, and in 2009 and 2011 I had another two S-Maxes (silver then white). I've currently got a Jag Sportbrake.
OH had a BMW 535d in 2010, and she's now got an Evoque with full Onyx conversion.
I think we get a posh alert, as we had 3 new cars on the drive in the space of 3 months (although the XJ is a company lease car, that's got a manager in it)
Oh, and I bought this for 8000 rubles (original reg no. A412BX, district 99). Can't remember why!

Well I do sometimes have the discussion about why people are happy to eat cow, pig, etc. but the idea of eating a dog or a sweet little guinea pig, for example, is abhorrent to most. I just prefer not to eat any of them.
And, um, I don't know Kelis but I do know that you are a MAN michaels.
Cows and pigs have been selectively bred to produce meat that tastes nice. Dogs have been selectively bred to be good at hunting / chasing / looking cute so probably aren't going to taste that nice. Expect it's a lot to do with the fat content of the muscles (more=better).
That said I will try anything once. I have eaten guinea pig but there was so little meat it wasn't worth bothering with. I would happily try dog or cat meat but it's not really socially acceptable!
FWIW I feel the same way as you do about the fox hunting debate. I'm not sure why people care so much about foxes but couldn't care less about ratting with terriers. I suspect it's because foxes can look cutesy and people associate rats with plague.0 -
I can remember the first time that I tasted the Scottish Traditional Dish of Haggis, I enjoyed it so much and it was so delicious then I was told what it consisted of apart from the tatties and neeps (spuds/turnip) it set me thinking of why it originated in the first place.
Waste not want not was the answer, if the Clans of yesteryear survived then that was ok by me, now I enjoy 'Deep Fried Haggis' with a Dram of course.0 -
Complete hypocrite here. Horses (and bunnies) definitely not on the menu. Right up there with the idea of eating dog I am afraid.
I do however love black pudding - warm black pudding salad is delicious. The french for black ooudding is 'boudin'. If we get another flat coat retriever puppy at some time, 'Boudin' is on the list of possible names.
Are we alone amongst NP in having possible names for pets we have'nt got?
No, the kiwi had his long name a few months before arrival. But his shortened name for ...ooooh, seven years or so?
Edit we have been toying with cats names for a couple of years too.0 -
Timing is everything I am learning. Oh look away now if you are shy or easily embarressed - marital relations are now classified under the 'unexpected exercise heading' and need a bit of planning and a biscuit:eek:
