She thinks she is intruding:mad: which she is not and we go out of the way to make sure she doesn't feel like that. It is an uphill battle.
They were always like this, always chose to stay in a hotel rather than with us, always only making short visits, find it difficult to relax in others' homes.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Can she 'help' with tasks? A community charity endeavour for example. Meeting friends whom she passes the time with might make her feel less as if she is in your space. Tbh, I have sympathy with her. I can find it hard to relax outwith our 'space'.0 -

I would share with OH.
After the towel washing question: bath mats?
We have one set for each bathroom, they get washed periodically and put back down. My mother has an assortment of really thin ones - barely more than a towel. More often than your mother now upto three of us use the bathroom. When it's just me, a week probably.
Has any one else noticed how wet men make bathrooms after showering and shaving? even just getting out of the bath I seem to bring about 20 percent less water out of the tub with me than dh.0 -
I'm just really annoyed because had it all worked out, she would have done the trip more often and now she won't.
That's a shame to be let down by one person. Surely that is a once off/ unreliable company, and your plan should still work.
Maybe the way ahead is to convince mum you have someone reliable to pick her up and ensure that you have.0 -

we eat mostly at the same time but if at restaurant etc and we are trying each others food then it's fine. we sometimes swap plates half way.
edit: still no car and looks like no car for the week. think it might be a garage call and see what they can do to fix the car.0 -

The problem is all at her location, so the answer needs to be for her to ask around. The problem is that she won't do that in case friends think she is hinting for them to offer to meet her.
This really was the only firm online that seemed to have a proper set up, I now feel they were just farming out the jobs to inadequate local offices who didn't understand the concept of M&G.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
