Wow. An heirloom.
Actually please don't quote this as I might delete it even though we're a private thread. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

Common guys.....I always said when I cannot do it is when I knew I had to give up properly. I go just under three months each year.
I'm doing it.
There are about 4 bottles of Laua Viin in the fridge (one was half open, but everything else is sealed, and I think a bottle of Jack Daniels.
We may be having a situation like below in Feb, though :eek:PS Am I the only one on GMT?
I'll be back on Weds, currently working my '2 day a week' job

Snow (1cm) but more promised today, no doubt the amount that doesn't register in central London at work but makes the journey home a nightmare and I have deadlines which makes thinking of taking the day off a no-no.I think....0

The roads aren't that bad this morning.
OH safely in the office, water bottle to back, and she's got a powerful RWD automatic car.

We also have a little snow - settling on the grass (and particularly well on the trampoline in our garden) but only slightly settling on the roads. It's forecast to thaw later today, too. Nevertheless, I am remembering the houses I looked at a couple of years ago when I was looking to buy, and feeling quite glad I didn't get the one at the top of the very steep hill.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
No real snow overnight here, certainly nothing on the ground although we did have a few flakes. If we do get the snow, it will cause complications for James, as it will mean he cannot cross site...he managed to dislocate his knee badly last year just by walking to the car from the school door (a distance of about 10 feet), let alone walking more than half a mile on icy paths!
I don't really have any art apart from ones that youngest did and a few watercolours picked up very cheap from Arty Farty sales. I do have a wall of shame in my hall, pics of the boys growing up and certificates of exams etc for all of us.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

It snew here during the night, but the roads are clear. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
We woke to a sprinkle of snow yesterday but it's all gone today, so far.
+2 and foggy at the mo.0 -
We have a little snow. Settled on cars but not on the road, pretty rooves and a dusting on the grass and trees.0

A lot of our "art" comes from Ikea:o and even cheaper places
Though nothing is obviously recognisable as such.
We were going to buy a couple of things from a local art gallery, but OH and I have very different taste.
I like mirrors above fireplaces. We have one big picture of each of the boys and some little pictures in frames on one windowsill, otherwise no family pics around.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
