Well I work from home, so technically I'm at work today and tomorrow.

I may even shuffle some papers around today. OH has set himself the target of submitting his tax return today.

My mother has set me off. She's talking of 2013 having to be worse than 2012 because she had dad with her for half of 2012! Some things have no answer!

It's a hard one...we have similar feelings down our way with people close to us.

Wishing all NP a happy and healthy 2013. May your dreams come true!
ahaa...as I get older I am working out that the dreams are always there but they just change...or get further away ~(as in my case :))

    Happy NY everyone.

PN..if it's any consolation OH just got back from doing a taxi run (yes they drive and have cars but they like to drink NYE) and we are eating leftover (homemade curry) and top up curry (reddy meal fare) from The Devil Store known as Tesco (which has opened nearby and is now sucking up all fiscal life from the area)
...and then he will chow down and watch telly and zzzzz.
I wanted to pop up the river to see fireworks...he no want to :( as it's a PITA to get home.

I've got a friend here with me so wishing you all a wonderful and happy 2013. IF you've not had the best 2012, hope 2013 improves.

I'm at a friends (in Herts). We are staying in with lots of food and drink, rather than doing so separately or with our parents. We have both (independently) decided that in 2013 we are going to build on the changes we made in 2012. For the first time in goodness knows how long I'm feeling quite hopeful rather than sad about the new year.

Happy New Year, Nice People. I hope 2013 is as happy, healthy and wealthy as possible for you all xxx

Hey Nikki, what a great upbeat post, things have gone great for you this year and will be better next I am sure :)
    I think....

I've been disconnected about 8x in the past hour... spent more time offline trying to get back on, than actually online.

FC .... did receive your big text the other day, but I am cr4p at texting. I can't see the letters on the buttons (lime green on gold) and then have to poke each key individually ... plus I make mistakes and have to delete and try again..... and I have 140 characters (not like yours that span 3 inbound texts) ... so .... I didn't reply and just spent 2 days or so feeling bad about that :)

I'd bought 18 eggs and a loaf on Thursday/Friday .... not touched either so far, so decided to make a 3 egg scrambled eggs on toast.... using the toaster I was so scared of a month ago and the microwave I was so scared of until earlier today. Go me.... I might even bake some bread before the end of the month or something bizarre.

Just been out for a cig, can hear a party along the road.... came back in and telly's retuning itself.

Been writing down the time every time I have a cig, I figure once I have a handle on how many I actually smoke, I can start to reduce it by stretching out the gaps. Sat was 12, Sun was 12. 10 so far today (starting with one at 4am) and I expect to smoke more today as it's NYE .... but I'll try to reduce it by 2/day each week. So next week I'll aim for 10/day. I don't think 12's too shabby though, to be honest. :) £6/pack .... I've got a rolling machine that works out cheaper, so might move onto those next week too.

Yep - main reason I have never smoked, could never justify the cost...Seems to me if you save 4 packs at week that is 24 quid or about 1250 a year - now that will pay for a lot of broadband and some decent equipment to do it on (or an awful lot of batteries for the tingletip :rotfl:)

oh gosh don't fret about it...it was a very indulgent text anyway so didn't really merit a response :) I was having a moment whereby I realised OH and myself were a London stereo-type and it didn't feel good ....as we are sooooo not a stereotype . :o

18 eggs will last you a fortnight.

A smoking diary sounds interesting though the
nicotine withdrawal is the same whether you smoke 60 a day or x 15. There is a stop smoking thread on the debt boards and I have 'hung out (albeit very briefly) but it does help. I am mid a non smoking period at the mo so will probably mosey about on it over the next few weeks.....could do with some company on it :)
