Happy New Year, guys and gals. PN, after around 30 cigs a day I quit. Discovered the e-cigarette. Fun, nicer than stinky fags and you get to choose your flavours. So much safer yet you get the throat hit, the nicotine, which is not a cause of cancer, loads cheaper.
Nearly 50 years of heavy smoking and not had a cig for over 3 and a half years.
Let me know if you want to have a go at them.0 -
I loved the premise of ideocracy - rest of the movie after the first 5 minutes is not so good...I think....0

I am trying to work out what type of house I could invent to build on the plot that is sympathetic to the street but could get a meet up with K McCloud *swoon*....I think LIR said if you get on the show you get free stuff.:)
I love that show too, though you would have to have your own original ideas to get on the show I expect.
Always considered building to get the perfect house for me but not in the current climate.0 -

I was down your way last week, noted that your train line was out of order..... if you're still there.
e-cigs, thought about those, but not had connectivity to give it proper thought now I am actually stepping towards giving up. Didn't know there were FLAVOURS!!!!

Hi. Sort of OK. The breakdown has left me however it had it`s toll. So not really right. Thanks to my wonderful wife, I get very good support.
Both of us have given up work. Well having developed a sleeping disorder, not many would employ someone at 2 in the afternoon, lol.
PN, we are still down there but in Reading right now. Still waiting to move back up. I heard that the W Country was nigh on closed off.
I will post, when sobriety returns some links regarding e-cigs. As for flavours, maybe tobacco, cherry, cigar, tutti fruiti, there are an amazing amount.0 -

I plan to force my family to do it although it is possible to do the ride just buying stuff from the roadhouses in the desert. Most of the ride is near the beach so they can go to the beach while I flog myself half to death and play dodge the road train. What will you do for water in the desert? A quick Google suggests that you'll need 10 litres a day if the temperature is 30C.
Are you planning on cycling on the A1 road?
Yup, I'll use the main road. 10 litres a day is about right plus you need 1g of carbs for each kg of bodyweight per hour while riding. I usually get that from muesli bars and sports drinks (sports drinks cover off the water and energy requirements) so I'll be consuming about 6,000 calories a day.0 -
Happy New Year nice peeps! Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.
