If anyone is looking for something to watch tonight, I would highly recommend 'Moon' which is on BBC2 at 10pm. It was also directed by David Bowie's son (who has changed his name from Zowie).
I'll try to remember to watch Moon.....0 -
I used to love Pistachios but was eating them the night before I caught adult chickenpox. I've not eaten them much since. I do like macadamias though, especially the choc covered ones. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? After 8 hours of a non-signal on the telly today, I've just been poking about with the leads again (only the 100th time) ... and this time pressing the SCART lead in the back of the telly hard for 15 seconds seems to have generated a stable signal.
This telly lark these days is expensive. In the olden days you'd be lent a telly, plug it in and off you go. This lent telly so far has cost me: £17 freeview box, £10 SCART lead, £8 for alternative aerial lead. It's adding up!0 -
I have old-fashioned nut-likes. Growing up, nuts meant: monkey nuts, salted peanuts and walnuts at Xmas ... as well as a raft of other nuts I am not sure about.... I know some were hazelnuts and brazils, but there was another oval/flat/pock-marked nut I've no idea what that was.
I liked monkey nuts, peanuts and walnuts - not keen on the rest.
Then along came modern nuts.... like pistachios. My sibling liked these strange new nuts.... I tried a few and don't like them.
I like all sorts of peanuts, like honey-roasted and dry roasted. For monkey nuts I love the "roasted in the shell" ones, although a lot of brands have no taste.0 -

And pistachios second!
I had a croissant filled with pistachio cream once. It was heavenly. Heavenly. I have to admit, I like them, but I love the way they look more. I make a nice risotto with pistachios on the top, just cos they look so damn good.
Dh was skyping with his sibling who didn't visit earlier and I am reminded how much new parents bore me.. I love babies, but like children more the older they get, and I find the whole wide eyed no one but us has ever felt this way as boring as I do when you g people discover lust. Or worse really, because by the time you have a baby you should know that those who don't have them aren't that intersted in seeing nappy contents over Skype.
:o
She is a cute baby though, and seems highly alert to the world around her for such a little'un.0 -

Moon is far from action packed, and there is not much in the way of conversation... but I thought it was great when I saw it. I've also noticed that Blade Runner is on straight after, which I've never seen. Looks like it will be another late night for me...0 -

Not watching Moon but need to be awake at a "sensible" time. Alarm set for 8am when I've been waking up at 9:30 lately...
You could try easing yourself back, say 7:30am tomorrow, 7:00am the day after0
