Finally managed to get google images to show some images... yes, the nuts I didn't know what they were ... were almonds.

I don't like marzipan, but I do like Amaretto. Perhaps almonds should go on my nut list?
in order of likeness
macadamia
brazils
sweet chestnuts (but this is seasonal so jumps to top of the list during season)
cashew nuts
pistachios
hazelnuts
cobnuts (again, seasonal and hard to get)
almonds
peanuts/monkey nuts
pecans
walnuts
I will use pecans and walnuts more for baking than general eating.0 -
I love Almonds and have them every week! :beer:0

How are you with things like bake well tarts? I love almonds and marzipan, but find the latter too sweet now really.
Hmmm. I'm more of a savoury person, wouldn't buy/ choose them but would eat if in front of me. Esp with a cup of tea
Thanks lir - you've helped me reconcile my feelings towards marzipan and amaretto! Its been very confusing, but now I know there's some kind of logic... Its not real almond!0 -
I get sharp pains in my head when I eat more than a couple of Walnuts, so I don't bother with them now.
Like Brazil nuts, Peanuts and hazelnuts too.0 -

Bl00dy telly, still no signal. Even swapped the funny lead round. grrrrrrrr
I hate the way you've no idea what's not working right... and the only way to eliminate stuff is to buy everything twice ... with the lurking fear it might need "a little man" to be called out to do something expensive. OK for homeowners, as you've a sense of ownership; sucks for renting.
It might even be the socket on the telly. I know that holding the scart lead can produce a good picture.... the minute you let go it's gone.0
