Should I keep the Christmas beard that I have grown?

Depends whether you want to look older or younger. Nothing ages a man as much as a beard IMHO.

It might even be the socket on the telly. I know that holding the scart lead can produce a good picture.... the minute you let go it's gone.

    Wire coathanger?

Kids and I like almonds and marzipan. OH likes pecan and brazil. DS2 is allergic to walnuts and brazil nuts but eats almonds and peanuts. We are not sure about pistachios.

Bl00dy telly, still no signal. Even swapped the funny lead round. grrrrrrrr

I hate the way you've no idea what's not working right... and the only way to eliminate stuff is to buy everything twice ... with the lurking fear it might need "a little man" to be called out to do something expensive. OK for homeowners, as you've a sense of ownership; sucks for renting.

It might even be the socket on the telly. I know that holding the scart lead can produce a good picture.... the minute you let go it's gone.

It might also be due to to you being near the TV? My TV/aerial is quite sensitive to that. I'm having to use an indoor aerial as there isn't one on the roof. I have to turn the aerial round as one way works better for BBC and the other for the rest of the channels. The aerial was the cheapest one Argos sold about 6 years ago (ie when analogue was still on). The aerial is also perched so that everyone I walk past it falls over, do I hard to find the sweet spot all over again. Bah!

They're all good. Including amaretto, marzipan, toblerone.
Favourite chocolate bar was a lways the Marathon bar. Not sure why they want me to call it Snickers now.

Nikkster, Blade Runner's one of the best SF films ever. IMHO.:D

I posted a wifi alternative to telly a few posts back.

My TV has freeview built in, but it has a glorified (and only very slightly) coathanger plugged in as the aerial.

It just keeps retuning itself.... every 3-4 minutes. And each time it's finished it's on a different channel... which is then choppy/breaking up, until it retunes itself. Does this all the time. Not had a signal long enough to watch anything today... again.

I should... but it's not my telly.

Once I've got proper internet I can find a cheap/free telly to see if it's that....
