I am dehoarding ATM. I took all my old student linen and old poly cotton crud I have kept to cover dogs bedding etc etc, all the things that were ok but frayed or with holes TO THE TIP.

It was a depressing large amount of not good enough fabric (five idea bags full). Still it went in a recycling charity skip, not a landfill one.

I actually have some more cruddy linen too, in a trunk I cannot bear to open yet.

Nikki: the lobster thing will also do nuts if you buy whole nuts.

I thought they were lobster shaped nut crackers.

But then I know little of lobsters or nuts (DS2 has non-life threatening nut allergy to walnuts).

Nuts are just about the only food I don't really like.

If anyone is looking for something to watch tonight, I would highly recommend 'Moon' which is on BBC2 at 10pm. It was also directed by David Bowie's son (who has changed his name from Zowie).

    Nuts is a broad category!

I persevere with walnuts, but I can find them too bitter. I am not that keen on Brazils. Macadamias, pistachios, cashews, almonds hazelnuts are all delcious IMO. I use a lot of ground almonds.

I like maple and pecan things, and have been known to eat those chilli coated nuts. Satay sauce is fine too. So not really any proper nut based food items!

I will eat things that have nuts in, but wouldn't necessarily choose to. Perhaps I should try Macadamia nuts? (I think they have my favourite nut name anyway)

I love macadamia's. they are seriously my favourite nut in the world.

Roasted with a bit of salt and they are the perfect balance of sweet and savoury and silky nut flavours.

That settles it - macadamias will be first on my list of nuts to try.
