Why would anybody NOT do that? They sell skiploads of stuff when you only want/need something light.
And they charge for the convenience of pre-buying tickets online with a card. Pardon? What's that all about?
And if you turn up to buy tickets the same person selling the box office tickets is making coffees the slow way for people who'll only have to block everybody's view as they inevitably go to the toilet during the show.
Is there nothing the cinemas can do right anymore? Did they just one day sack everybody that knew what makes sense and could do stuff right?
In our little local cinema, they bring you your teas and coffees to your seat. They can also make a whole meal....and bring that to you at your seat too!
It's hardly worth buying the stuff beforehand and taking it in, they have priced their drinks and sweets the same as the Tesco across the road (to stop people bringing their own) and their meals cheaper than any cafe or restaurant in the town, unlike the big cinema in Ipswich where you have to take out a mortgage to buy a drink...
Ok, it doesn't have 3D but for people like me who struggle with 3D films, that is ok.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

50% here.
"Have you ever taken anything home from a skip on the street?" Can I just check if there are any people here who DON'T do this, at least sometimes? I always cross the road to peer in.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
I don't...but my ex husband used to.
I answered no to the question though as it was not actually me doing the removing from the skip.We made it! I also knackered my back yesterday (4 year olds are heavier than they look) and now have 24 hours on a plane with a very sore lower back to look forward to. Sitting in the cinema yesterday for 3 hours of the hobbit was no joke and that was a comfortable seat, so I expect this will be pretty horrid. I have stocked up on codiene.

Am I right in thinking that all the other NPs are far, far too sensible to go trolley racing in the supermarket car park?No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

Ah now I used a bit of license with this one.
In Aus we have something called 'Council Clearup' where you dump all your crap on the grass verge biannually and the council comes and collects it.
When your [STRIKE]sh[/STRIKE] stuff is on the verge it is fair game for whoever wants it: I love to see my things get taken as it means they get enjoyed rather than trashed and I've taken loads of stuff from others including about 10 kids' bikes and trikes, kids picnic tables, kids outdoor play stuff, a fridge and some gardening tools.
I've had taken a microwave and 2 TVs (broken but the copper etc can be sold) taken along with some little bits too.
It's culturally more acceptable than skip filching in the UK I reckon. Skip felching is to be avoided IMHO.0 -

I think that there are penalties for taking them into Dubai for example. AIUI you may need permission to take codeine into Singapore, but not sure what will happen if you don't break your journey and stay in the transit lounge - just make sure you don't take them off the plane with you I guess.
Hope the flight goes ok and that you manage to get as comfy as possible.
It's ok. If you're traveling with some drugs that are illegal at your destination or waystation then just pop them in a condom, swallow the condom and carry them that way. It's an old trick.

In law trip was ok. I am reeling at this unexpected lack of drama. Very happy, but dh says wait to see what comes of it before sending out olive trees after the branches.
Anyway,
Kiwi fruit is doing well, and it was only in running through things he could do with in law that I realised how well he is doing with words.
Sit, down(knows it but is iffy), rollover (introduced to early, wants to do it every time he doges down, that's trainer error and exuberance), stand (important for one of his roles is to NOT sit). Boing (like a spring noise)...means jump up in the air like a loon, He likes that one. He is learning a cute trick inhave never tried to shape and want to see i get it right before saying what it is, and in law was asking how one trains things in.....so I started teaching him 'jump' over my outstretched leg. He got it really quickly (simple to explain to him) and in law was amzed at how sharp on the uptake he is. I don't really care what others think, but I was pleased too. He is still a very Ickle puppin and he just loves to learn and play. It's quite rewarding to not try and swim upstream working with dogs whose natural inclination is not for this sort of training (though my connection with dog dog is still soul mate) and I have to remember he too is not what one would choose for this sort of thing, just less far removed.

Please don't quote as I may need to take down...
Conversations we don't expect to have at work:
A colleague conundrum today: "Madam, can you kindy not used processed cheese slices as a bookmark, as it leaves a fatty residue on the pages."
Made me also think of these -
from a student who clearly sat at the back of class to another colleague: "Have you got James Joyce is Useless?"
Me last week:
(member of the public) can you tell me which airline I should choose to fly, United or American?
Me: "We are unable to make recommendations, but I can certainly look those up for you, what criteria are you looking to select on?"
(member of the public) "the one whose tail is least likely to fall off in flight."Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.
