It was chucking it down before, but it really has stopped. We are going out (on foot) for dinner tonight. Should be dry when we walk over, but a 40% chance of rain when we walk back. Could be much worse by the sounds of it.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

My DW took some curtains down a while ago, and she has charged me with buying curtain hooks. The only trouble seems to be that there does not seem to be anywhere to put the hooks. Normally, there is some sort of tape with loops in, but not on these curtains. They have some very deep pencil pleats at the top that have been gathered. Is there some sort of hook that you just jam through/into the material?
I'm really hoping the NPs can help with this.
Possibly. There are big metal hooks that just jam into the pleats. A clue would be to see from the length of the curtain, if the curtain hung below the pole or attached to the front of it. You may need to blame your DW for not putting the hooks in a safe place when she took the curtains down.

We have a water softener and a drinking water filter. I have lost most of the cupboard space below the kitchen sink.
Water Board are coming here Monday morning to locate stop tap. According to their mapping notes it is 3m from a fence and 26 foot (or that could be inches she wasn't sure) from the white corner of the house. If that makes sense to them they should be able to find it easily!I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Dh had a great time at his work do this year. He was treated like a hero by those who had heard the legend of the man who took on sadistic boss, and some of sadistic bosses colleagues too. Plus....someone he knew ( friend of a friend, very simpatico) has joined in his exile. I think they both got a little "jolly"0
