DS1 had 2 wisdom teeth removed last night. Surgery at 7pm and sent home at 10pm. Seems to be doing OK.

Has he got bruising? I had loads dh doesn't think he had any.

Dh has his done in uk under general. An aunt picked him up and dropped him off at home where he stayed home alone for a few days. I thought to be released after a general they wanted someone to be at home with you the first night.

I hope your son is not too uncomfortable silvercar. It's one of those things that brings more comfort than you realised it took away I think. Or was for me! I hope it's the same for him!

As someone who does the Hokey Cokey with babies on a regular basis, this amused me greatly. I don't think I'll get your boiler into my routine though sadly.

Seriously though, I hope you get it sorted soon :(.

Spirit, I can see you are here, are you ok? My new spelling mate ;). I am still concerned. Croak for me, let me know you are ok.

My poor puppy feels neglected. I had a busy morning of work (shock to the system I can tell you) and then a frustrating afternoon of prepping for a meeting tomorrow. Dogs also had a boring day yesterday. Tomorrow I am hoping business type stuff is over by early afternoon so I can take a puppy too young to understand frustration and big dog out for a romp.

I don't know what to wear tomorrow. I found some great knickers at the back of the drawer on Monday that are so stretchy they can either fit or come up over my boobs, like a sort of humpty dumpty suit. Best not though, eh? Even with a tie and some smart heels?:). I am sure I have some black trousers somewhere (my least favourtie clothing) but god knows where. (has to be trousers......I am still not allowed to bend over and until the boiler and the bath (now plumbed in) cooperate.....I ain't able to shave my legs. I have never, ever seen my legs as hairy, I am certain. Dh has done them a couple of times over summer for me, but ....that was a while ago!

Me too! Tbh, much more of this and we Will have to get a nice place for resident parent to stay at least. :(

But otherwise, I do feel laughs again tonight. It has to happen to us! (we have great luck, but things tend to equal out, so we get really greatly bad luck to counterbalance it). But things like Daisy palmer put our 'bad luck' into perspective. Tbh, who would not choose to shiver over watching a child suffer so?

One of the things that interests me about the heating issue is the thread on oldstylers, ( and in discussion elsewhere) where people put their commitment to heat as 'the one thing they will not sacrafice' and I find it...understandable while I shiver, but really I cannot imagine feeling like that. Heat for us over heat for a relative with kids and cancer? No contest! Over dog dogs leg, nope. And yet every day we all make choices for us over something we consider, objectively more vital. E,g. When We by a bar of chocolate over sticking 35 p in a charity box, or putting it in a food bank. When we buy restoration houses instead of live cheaply with no debt and buy another cheap home for someone who has no home. Objectively I think 'a" home is more important than our home. But it's easy for me to avoid the issue I don't see in my face all the time. It's, I suppose, the same vein that least to extreme tax evasion.....and yet...which of us doesn't make the humbler decisions over things like a child somewhere having that good in an emty belly/ some heat rather than no heat/ medical provision suitable/ a cure being saught/etc etc

Gosh, all very serious for someone who is actually very happy with her lot tonight! But I think it's food for thought about a meaningful sacrifice for 'lent' (as a non practising christian) this year and my choices inthe new year.

Which proves that the boiler system is capable of heating your home A result in itself.

Presumably from the same side. Hope he's feeling well. Codeine's worth thinking about, but not for more than a few days.:)

They gave him codeine in hospital. Today he has managed with paracetamol and ibuprofen. Plus arnica which I gave him before the operation as well as after.

Face is a bit swollen on that side, but not as bad as some I've seen.

:D. It didn't make it to seventeen degrees today beore caput. 16.5 /17 degrees is the warmest it makes the house.

Way back when there was still a cranky oil boiler when we cranked it up to max ( only did it a couple f times) we got more than that. I would think we got over twenty. 16 /17 is fine for me, but I think it should be providing that easily, not at best. And of course, I would like it to work all the time!

Oh spirit...where are you? Are you ok?

    Good morning everyone.

If one had accidentally broken an empty vodka bottle in the shape of a rifle or musket gifted by ukrainian and russian friend collective from where might one procure another such thing to bear a passing resemblance if not exact same 'brand?'. Is it possible in uk/via Internet?

    Moving on, we've placed the order with VW for 16 Polo's, 6 Golfs, 71 Passat's, 37 Tourans, 58 Sharans, 12 6 seat Transporters and a Toureag Hybrid

With that lot, do you get a large enough discount that you can simply sell them on with delivery mileage and make a profit? Or will they stop supplying you if you do that?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
