No, I think it doesn't follow the other way. All electricians know that the earth wire in a plug is green & yellow, but knowing that doesn't make you an electrician.

    Sorry - pedant mode.

No need to say sorry. I was just waiting for someone to pull me up. :)
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Silver, I'm guessing that your DH's exec club level is quite high, so why not call the airline and ask them for advice? They should know the best way to book it - it's their job!

The best way is definitely to use miles and companion voucher, but add into the mix that his firm will pay his ticket and you can only use a companion voucher to double up on a ticket booked with miles not paid for and it is awkward. We definitely don't want to "waste" miles paying for his ticket with miles just to get the companion ticket.

Can't really phone the exec club as the we would travel business class by choice and BA is so expensive that we would possibly use another OneWorld airline.

Depends how much leeway his firm gives us, maybe possible for them to pay both tickets in WT+ and us sort the upgrade for both - if that costs the same for them as buying one Bus Class ticket, have to see how nice we can get them to be.

I absolutely love that Son of Dave clip from Jools Holland, LJ. Thank you for sharing :)

Have enjoyed going through all the videos, it's been a while since we've done this, looks like last night was a goodun.

I'm on my phone but I will think of some to share when I have the laptop.

    Glad you liked it.
he's amazing live - great fun.
He's allegedly recording an album right now. I can't wait to see him again.

Must remember to check out misskools suggestions in the week.

I was an Elf virgin til tonight (watched most of it after being lectured to by friends whilst eating a nice bit of chicken & salad). Some bits properly made me snigger.

Christmas shopping is now done (I think). Everything has been got. 4 things ordered online that I'm waiting for.

I'm getting my parents annual membership to the National trust!:T

Downside is that an ebay item I ordered for myself hasn't arrived. Projected date was earlier in the week, & I was really looking forward to it. Hope it isn't lost in the post.:(

    From the Generalissimos' school newsletter:
A camera has been handed in to the school office. A flat battery has unabled us to discover the owner.

To unable is apparently now a verb. I unable, you unable, he unables etc. Remember English is 100% about usage: if enough people get it wrong, wrong becomes right.

Scott Matthews is awesome, I saw him play a gig once with only 20 people in the room, he played a 12-string acoustic.

Newton Faulkner another good listen if you like that sort :)

    I've been Money Tipped!
Heating person emailed first thing and is coming this morning while I am out with the dogs at the vet (only dog dog is going in but we are going on mass for the car journey excitement).

I don't blame people for not taking business calls at weekends. It's not a way I am familiar with, from my family, myself or dh. But if their businesses succeed like that....better work life balance I guess. I find it amazing the 'mañana' in British small business I encounter regularly, and the ineptitude.

E.g. The nice uilders were amazingly go getting...but we're let down by several suppliers, some of who have been let down them selves by suppliers. doozer's h is like a speedy Gonzales and I think enforced slowdowns must be almost pain ful for him, he does everything super fast with tremendous energy.

My lawn mower has been at the repairers for a while now and they called a few weeks ago to tell me it was almost ready.....but that last push for completing and delivery has obviously been a push too far.
