First bottle of plonk for me in 9 weeks too.

PM me some of that kebab!! :D

Not my first bottle in more than a week, but a very nice one from Sainsburys at 25% off (and a bit more with a voucher).

On the frivolous note - I find myself really liking Bruno Mars' music (was just on Graham Norton). I don't really want to (bit of a music snob) - but I can't help it.

I got the M&S half price offer of 12 bottles for under £60.

Would have been rude not to.

It's a good song and I often find it floating around in my head too.

Zag and I are music lovers. Are there any more on this thread?

Loved the AC/DC (Buenos Aires) concert on BBC4 tonight.

They love their heavy rock in South America, great crowd.

I like a 'proper' kebab (shish-type), not so much the elephant leg sort. Although I would be lying if I said that I had not had more than one of them.

There is something about Bruno Mars that I really like. The songs are really catchy, but with just enough more than the rest of the mushy crap that us on the radio. I find myself singing along quite loudly in the car (and wiggling along to the song too).

Personally I would not let anything getting in the way of me trying to bring my daughter up the best I could.

She has left 2 kids behind and this prank wouldn't make that happen on it's own to most people.

I don't know the age of the kids or that much detail but what's the worst that would have happened to her?

I agree. Her management could have been more supportive, and could/ should have realised she was traumatised by the event.

As for the DJs, they impersonated the queen, for a laugh, not really a big deal IMHO. Certainly not as vindictive as the Jonathan Ross prank call.

Whoa! I know that general area where you're driving. If you don't keep your eyes on the road you'll be lulled into driving at 100 mph by the total absence of police and turn a corner and run into a bunnet-wearing farmer driving down the lanes at 2mph while he inspects his fields.

I had a two £4 off £20 vouchers for Sainsbury's so it seemed rude not to invest one in the 25% off wine offer...

I'm not involved in the Music thread in DT, but I do love music. I lost my love due to lack of time and cashflow (and life grinding me down tbh), but I bought 4 CDs last weekend (a: I appprecate that ages me, b: they were on offer). Definitely on the list is a Bruno Mars CD for the CD. I can't promise it will improve my driving though!

I'm reasonably good at sticking to the speed limits - much to the annoyance of those behind me do doubt

Music wise, I'll give pretty much anything a go. I was very much into Indie as a teenager (mid-late 90s heyday), but also like a lot of dance stuff (esp drum and bass, don't hold it against me). I don't believe in good and bad genre, just things I like and don't like. I used to really like Gilles Peterson's programme on radio 1 (somewhere between dance and jazz). I like a fair amount of cheese too (most apparent when I have had a drink or three).

I listened to the whole of Queens' of the Stone Age album 'Songs for the Deaf' which was on the radio this week - 'No one knows' is one of my favourite songs ever.

I was always known as being 'into music' among my friends (and daresay having a good ear for it - I remember backing Oasis against Shed Seven in a debate on the way home from school), but completely let it go. I think I'm getting back into it again though :)

    I'm semi-old fashioned. I like CDs :)
I like (or used to) browsing in record shops, and looking through the booklets. I also love going to see bands/ DJs live.

And now, although my little car is blessed with heated seats, screens and wing mirrors, I don't think there is anywhere to plug in a mp3 player. Any my laptop makes everything sound quite tinny (whatever the music, I worked out a long time ago that I like bass).

Youtube is good for dancing around the lounge though - thanks :D
