What would be expected is that there was an internal investigation into this incident - breaches of patient confidentiality/professional codes of conduct blah blah blah. The outcome would not automatically be disciplinary action. Hideous to be in it though.
This poor woman's professionalism called in to question, struck fear for the future in her and she could see no way out what a crying bloody shame.
I think I am a bit sick of cheap intrusive 'jokes' by those who have the airwaves at the expense of the innocent. The Russell Brand/Jonathon Ross 'plot' having been another.
It is an abuse of power. Unintended consequence on their part but culpable. Just like drunk drivers who unintentionally hurt others. I feel very angry, as for those who agreed to execute this gag I hope their careers are over.
It's fair to take a pop at those in authority. They're big enough to take it and it's nothing to them with their wealth and secure power.
Problem was the joke was also on the little person, a commoner trying to earn a crust far away from home and the DJs didn't even notice her.
Because nobody notices the people who actually do the really important stuff with no security - not even part of the prankesters narrow worldview. What the comedy pair did was mildly amusing. That poor nurse killing herself is terrible. It's very sad, and we should have a thought for her husband and children. I am suspicious that the hospital management, instead of supporting her, may have started disciplinary proceedings, and that led to her suicide.
I heard the code words - "supporting her in this difficult time".
I just heard the station saying the DJ's wont be coming back to work for the time being. Neither will the nurse.
It disturbs me that Noel Edmonds still pops up from time to time. Entertainers shouldn't bring about death of the people they trick or ask to join an entertainment. Just go and do something else. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

I am pretty hard nosed ( and took a pop at media royalty raving myslf) but when I heard this I found myself crying a little.
That the radio station were still playing clips after the news wa announced felt .....dirty.
I was quite upset too. I feel for her family, friends and colleagues a lot.
I didn't know that the clips were still being played after this news became known - that is unacceptable on any and every level.
BUT I think whilst the initial call was ill-advised, it should have been anticipated that something like that might occur (not so much from the UK - Leveson is still ringing in the ears of the media, but the Duke and Duchess are world figures (not least due to the Commonwealth)). I was surprised that a nurse was answering the phone under such conditions. I have no idea (clearly) what was going on since it all became public. I just feel so sad for all who were close to her.0 -

.
As I said they would be expected to set up an internal investigation as to any failings/lessons learned.
There is so much 'holding to account' and governance and transparency and increasingly litigeous patients/clients that these inquiries are 'normal'...and as I said hideous. Staff do get support - peers, professional bodies, TU's , managers, Chaplains etc ... but I can see it is still lonely and worrying.0 -
When an aircraft crashes, the resulting investigation is a positive thing, looking at how lessons can be learned and improvements made. When problems arise in businesses, any investigation often becomes a negative, blaming exercise. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

The Radio station have had to take down their Facebook page, there was thousands of abusive posts on there, I've never seen the like.
They really are a bunch of !!!!!!. Google Kyle Sandilands if you want to see the quality of broadcaster they go for. I won't listen to it, never do. Not that I am their target audience.0 -
Missed all this with the "nurse" but I'm sure the pranksters will be haunted by their actions.
The woman must have had other issues and this was the straw that broke the camels back.
I don't like pranks of any kind as they can often backfire and causing a bad situation all round.
If they haven't done anything illegal then they should at least lose their jobs.0 -

I dunno that it's a given she had other issues.
I saw my normally sane and steady husband go a bit loopy with his work issue last year, and I think, hope, everything else in his life was fine, but being stuck in a work drama.....especially working away from home as she did (a pattern familiar to us) when things go wrong, especially in the terribly public way this did, it's a scary place to be when you income supports a family. It's enough to push someone very hard and a long way IMO.
Of course most people do have more than one stress factor, but I don't think this was a straw, more a ruddy great log.0 -

I've been looking at rescue dogs today for my Mum. How cute is the lurcher called Roger? You can almost see a smile on his face:

She'll only have b1tches though:(
Somebody explain (cos I don't get it) what's the "magic " of that breed? Is there something that doesn't show up in photos or seeing them from a distance?
Can they hum lullabies that get even troubled babies to sleep?
Do they smell of marzipan or gorgeous flowers and perfumes?
Do they lower the owner's tax rate somehow?
Do they distract snakes and stingiing/biting insects.
Maybe they're really loyal. I bet there's also non-ugly dogs that are also loyal.
What's the point of them? Particularly that people want them (amazed) then clearly wise up and don't want them (not at all amazed);)There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

Personally I would not let anything getting in the way of me trying to bring my daughter up the best I could.
She has left 2 kids behind and this prank wouldn't make that happen on it's own to most people.
I don't know the age of the kids or that much detail but what's the worst that would have happened to her?on a particularly flippant note, i have new carpets and i have been drinking since 1pm. i've also been eating a kebab.
First bottle of plonk for me in 9 weeks too.
PM me some of that kebab!!0
