Grrrr...knew I shouldn't have washed my hair.... Frozen shoulder and neck this morning. Grrrrrrrrrrrr.

The boiler is now on......connected to nice builders rads in new part of the house, but ......it's not right. It's only getting up to ten degrees. I messed with the thermostat and it might now rise, we will see. I want to try and get it so that when nice builder comes to look at old rads I can say......ok, it's working here.....not....well, it's not working here, so let's stress it some more.

I may be wrong (I often am) but I think a NP has a birthday today.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY PASTURES

If I am going to be wrong, I am going to be wrong in style:)

24 point pink capital letters is 'in style'? !!!!!! has happened to the UK while I've been gone? <<sob>>

    Happy Birthday PN BTW.

I had my second interview today. I thought it went pretty well despite being given the wrong place to go to by my last interviewer making me 15 minutes late(!) for this one.

I was very professional about that, I said that I should have allowed more time to get there rather than blaming it all on her which has paid off because when I got out there was an email from the misdirector apologising profusely and promising to take the mess into account.

I am hopeful I'll get the job but far from certain. I gave some cracking answers to some questions ("The deleveraging process should give some great business opportunities as people look to save more for uncertain times ahead, just as they did in Japan. 25 years ago the Japanese were huge consumers, now they're one of the great savers."[a market the interviewing firm has just entered]) and babbled on about nothing to a couple of others.

It's blimmin' boiling here today. It peaked at 34C in the City (it will have been hotter here) and now it's gone cloudy and is raining off and on which is just adding humidity. The forecast is for 37C tomorrow which is the first day of summer then a cool change on Sunday. Roll on Sunday.

And you expect sympathy! You can defrost my car if you want cool.

If I was at the apartment the temp today would be 26 degrees. And it appears that the need to be dodging rockets on the beach has diminished.

Which would be so much nicer than waiting in for the boiler man to fix the boiler they repaired inadequately earlier in the week. I'm not complaining, we have heating and some hot water. Just not enough hot water to have a shower properly.

I'm advertising £25-32k + 10% pension for someone to type letters, stick entries into a database and do my filing. Bet I don't get a single decent applicant and end up having to employ someone @rsey who thinks typing is beyond them. Again.

    Dear Mr. Chewie,

Please find enclosed my CV in application for the post advertised in the Nice People Thread on 29 November.

The nature of my degree course has prepared me for this position. It involved a great deal of independent research, requiring initiative, self-motivation and a wide range of skills. For one course, typing, an understanding of the typing industry was essential. I found this subject very stimulating.

Whenever I'm not on the NP thread, I am a fast and accurate typer and filer, with a keen eye for detail and I should be very grateful for the opportunity to progress to being your personal typer, filer and passport retriever. I have not only the ability to take on the responsibility of this position immediately, but also the enthusiasm and determination to ensure that I make a success of it.

Thank you for taking the time to consider this application and I look forward to hearing from you in the near future, so we can discuss further details like ciggie breaks, gym membership, fruit deliveries, sick day policy and holiday allowance.

    Yours sincerely,

    Wheezy
