pumpkin pie mk II done. i burned a bit of my wrist getting the pastry case out of the oven.
sadly, i think Libby's is the best and i shall have to stock up next year.
Also made pumpkin bread but it's too gummy. Would have been ok had the recipe not made it the size of madagascar. I shall have to bring it to work and hope it gets eaten. so disappointing.0 -
As a measure of how boring I am, I would have paused to don underwear, shoes, jeans and a coat.
Normally, so would I! I was incensed at the driver not stopping and hoping to get away with it that I completely forgot I was not suitably attired to be going outside and chasing trucks.
Plus, I think my gradual decline into a breakdown had already started, so I was in a delicate mental state (and I am sticking to that to save my blushes! :rotfl:)We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Not the warmest but then not the coldest either...I know I was pretty damned cold by the time I got back in, despite the coat now ex hubby had rushed out to me to cover my dignity.:DWe made it! If I was indoors just wearing a nightie, that's what I would do too:DMine is about the same and it's £330 for the rubbish car I drive.
maybe i should get another car (well, it isn't going to pass the MOT with duck tape for the headlamp!) :rotfl:
I'd think about keeping it going a bit longer. Bangers are good value to run compared with newer cars. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

Ah, then I wouldn't have been dressed. So I would have been running down the road wrapped in a blanket. And with my hair in a style some where between little mi of the moomins and that woman with the big voice from m people.
Short nighty equals dignified IMO from bed.0 -
Did you not read your horoscope.
It said don't go out or touch anything today, stay in bed.
Fortunately tomorrow is another day.
You should have read your car's horoscope.
I think it's at the back of the manual somewhere in one of the pages nobody can be bothered reading.:DThere is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
Too much coffee, not enough food yesterday.
Have thoroughly enjoyed this chat of chasing men whilst naked and the sodium vs calcium conundrum. Has no one done a posh alert for that yet?
My Version of the car is not girly. When I collected a family member from the station, he expected it to be driven by a pimp. For the record, I am not a pimp but my car is a bit pimped. I love, love, love it. I think i've always paid £5-600 for car insurance. I have to shop each year to keep it that low. Not that it's low. I found myself getting excited at the idea of being older so I pay less, then realised that is the worst possible reason to want to be older than I am.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
