Was a great GP.
viva, call the courier and tell them what's happening and that your thinking of stopping using Amazon for this reason. They will certainly sort it out and go out of their way to give you a good service.
o2 use (I think it is now in the past tense) yodel. I had problems every time they 'tried' to deliver anything. Yodel never got back to me about my complaints, but I did feed my thoughts back to o2...0 -

Chewy, ewwww....
top tip #3
Don't let your kids hold their birthday party if they have norovirus. Not only will they feel dreadful, so will everyone else who attends. Both of us got it and at the time we lived in a house with one toilet. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Yuck yuck to norovirus stories.
Looks like dh will be working from home tomorrow as our area goes further underwater. Parents train from London took as long as dh's on Wednesday, and frustratingly went through our nearest station town but did not stop, SO HALF THETRAIN HAD TO MAKE THE Change to come back ( sorry, not sure how caps work yet!) so were all very grumpy.0 -
I hope you are ok where you are lir. I know that there are big hills and run off nearby, but don't know how near. It sucks. But having fir home is a bit of a silver lining to that otherwise very dark cloud. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? We are fine.
I have had to bring the horses in now, it's just too dreadful. The road at the far end has flooded, a few times, and going north of here towards the main roads, just up the road there is a dip to a bridge, that has flooded too. But nothing impossible.
House is a bit creaky and leaky....bit scary when the wind lifted up the loft hatch and started chucking it about but it was all ok.0 -
Not been around for a bit. How is everyone? Have taken early retirement, after a legal battle with my ex contractor I got a nice settlement that has allowed me to do sol. I am sure they owe more but really didn`t want the stress of court and their statements, which I am sure they would have used in court were not altogether the truth.
Mrs. P has also now retired so it is quite a change. We have just fallen a little short of our pension target but by very little so that is good.
Been quite a time what with Mrs. Ps sisters divorce. We have been spending a fair bit of time near London with her. Could not ask for a better solicitor and if he is right my ex bro in law is going to take a right thumping in the settlement.
The general plan now is to buy with her. So a move from the West Country. Can`t say I will miss it. The thought of being half hour from London again is pretty exciting. So it is back to the home town for us. We are all very close and we will be able to buy something suitable. As long as I have my own den for all my bits and musical instruments I think I will be fairly settled.
Hoping to do a couple of days work a week. Have a bunch of contacts there so pretty confident.
The next generation of the family has started so I can see baby sitting a possibility. Cbeebies here we come.
Still not totally recovered from my breakdown of a few years back and still need meds . I have a bad memory now but Mrs. P tends to keep me going. Good job as I would never remember bills. A long way from where I used to be but still pleased to feel better. Sadly my confidence is bad where driving is concerned so by and large the good lady takes the wheel. Discovered the joy of trains again but they sure are expensive.
However it is nice to enjoy music and movies again and my love of cooking is back.
Anyway I am back and will be following the thread.,0 -
I read years ago that they built a new town in Herts which had or they planned to have special delivery cabinets in the houses called receivadors, so when you were out goods could be left safely.
Did that ever happen? Sounds like something relevant to the internet age of home-delivered goods.
We had those in the Barbican. Your rubbish went in the bottom part for daily, although weekday only, collection and deliveries went in the top. It was brilliant.0 -

Got a friend who lives in the Barbican. Always moans about the cable TV system for some reason. I always think it looks like a sci-fi vision of the future myself.
DW was presented an award by her work so we went to a ceremony at the Barbican a few weeks ago. A fantastic occasion. DD came along and we took her for a meal to a Cafe Rouge not too far away. It was great, and a good thing too as everywhere else was booked solid!:)There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
