Just opened DS's first report from his new school. (I was out really late on Friday so they had a sitter, and then he forgot to give it to me yesterday!) No attainment grades for this first report, just effort grades, which can be outstanding, excellent, good, needs improvement or unsatisfactory. He's got 4 goods, 7 excellents and 2 outstandings. :D I'm particularly pleased with his outstanding in English. Obviously the teacher has realised how difficult he is finding it with his dyslexia and giving him due credit for how hard he is trying. :)
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)

That's brilliant news Lydia! He's had a difficult couple of years and to be doing that well is wonderful.

They may be going soon - apparently local 'street' artists use them as an excellent 'canvas' and the council can't be bothered to pay to repaint them all the time.

The plot thickens. My neighbours say that the electric reader hasn't been round and no my cupboard wasn't open earlier. This would suggest that this Yodel operative has availed him/herself of a set of generic keys to gain access to cupboards. I'm not tbh comfortable with this, though obviously I don't leave valuables in a cupboard I can't lock properly. I was also reminded that this was the same Yodel that lobbed a parcel over the gate that leads to someone else's garden thinking it was ours. In that respect their standards may actually have increased a little... I think we'll not order from Amazon again if they are the chosen couriers for the item (I know they use many).

We hate them - they refuse to say when they come, seem to ignore the redeliver website/phone, have no human contact phone no, no collection depot and once came 3 days in a row at exactly 3.30 when DW had to go out and fetch the kids even though we left a note on the door advising this was the only time she was not in.

I hope that is just a professional advice and not from personal experience. If it is the latter, get better soon.
    I think....

Lydia - I think you did half and half pocket money to cash and a savings account. I want to do this for our DDs but I would quite like the savings account to have online access (for viewing the balance at any rate). Did you find such an account?
    I think....

I had to watch it on delay, soooo glad I didn't read this till now!

I like Hulkenberg. He's the only current GP driver I've met and he's a really nice guy. I hope that it happens for him next year. Sad for my team but the right man won I think.

    Was a great GP.

viva, call the courier and tell them what's happening and that your thinking of stopping using Amazon for this reason. They will certainly sort it out and go out of their way to give you a good service.
