Clever, really clever. Though my favourite - which I saw in GD magazine once - was the flight of stairs where each riser turned into a shoe storage (or storage for other items of a similar size). I like stuff like that. I don't think houses in this country have anywhere near enough storage.

Does anyone know how difficult it would be to get one rewired onto its own switch?

It may be better to have a triple switch so you can control them by area. If the switch is on a false wall then it shouldn't be too hard.

I had my kitchen lights on separate switches for just that reason.

Some times it seems a bit fussy, but we are not living out there yet, so it will robably become second nature when we are.

Feeling grim (nothing serious, just normal stuff) and don't fancy cooking tonight. Trying to work up enthusiasm to head to a waitrose and get some bread, pât! and apples and grapes and some cheese (I can pull some cheese out of the freezer). Seems grim to offer dh such light supper after a week at work, especially when he hasn't felt well.

I am also toying with a Bar or chocolate, or chocolate tart. Or ...well...anything chocolatey. It's not so often I get that urge to eat chocolate......I am blaming hormones.

Did any NP vote in the PCC elections?

I did not. I would like to say it is because I have been ill however I suspect I may not have been all that motivated to. I did however know who two of the candidates were (lab and con) .

I expect I will come to value this democratic right at some point but it has not been something I have had on my list of priorities.

I diod, but my candidate did not win. Great shame, he seemed to me head and shoulders above the rest in experience, enthusiasm and most importantly defined goals with concrete figures given.

No, but purely because I was consuming the NHS's services again:(. Ended up having my hip x-rayed. Being asked by the doc on duty "well what did you do, have a sporting accident, get in a car wreck or what?"
"Er no, I just stood up". Very embarrassing. Hypermobility sucks.

Can you get an Ocado or Sainsburys delivery where you live lir? Maybe order something with one of those Bistro ready made stick it in the oven things? It's not worth being MSE when neither of you are feeling great and one has had a long journey.

It's ok, I got out and bought some yummy cheese and bread type stuff. And we have plenty of red wine.

Bread and cheese is about the yummiest meal there is. :). I even have some membrillo in the fridge, and some nuts and dried fruit.

Mind you a 'simple' bread and cheese supper certainly is not mse.....cheese is a bloody fortune. I left a yummy looking ashy goats cheese.

I'm just inside the London boundary so not eligible. Expect Chewy and GDB's the same.
Somehow reminds me of that great TV series "The Wire". There seemed to be about 50 layers of superior officers/politicians above every beat officer, when most people say they woant more police they mean more uniforms on patrol. :D

If it's French bread you can put anything on it.

Sorry to hear that Viva. Is it always your hips or do other joints go as well?
