Today I paid some spondoolicks to the sharks for credit checking etc. It's all looking like it's going to happen ... as there's nothing bad they'll throw up there.

Awaiting forms, so I'll have to see what they want reference wise.

I had half an Asda "Indian Meal for 2" (one portion of chicken curry, half a pilau rice, one medium naan) .... followed by a Tesco Own Brand "Snack sized" Marathon bar look-a-like.

I'd never heard of F/B before I came to MSE. I used to think that "paint was paint - and Dulux costs more". I now work about 30 yards from an F/B supplier, but if I'd never heard of them I'd have not spotted them.

Same here - seems funny that we learnt about expensive paint on MSE :rotfl:

They saw something in you that made them think you could do it. They will not expect you to know everything immediately. It is better to ask than to mess everything up because you were pretending to know something that you actually don't. You will be fine, but it will take a while to settle in.

Its more the background knowledge that I think they will assume (not unreasonably) that I have a grip of. I thought in my previous life that I could get away with not getting my head round these things, but I will have to force my little bear brain to work them out. If I ever make it into a viva then I'm sure it will all be useful anyway in helping me sound intelligent :o

LOL ... reminds me of a job I took on once. It was a temp job and they interviewed me... at the interview I knew I was out of my depth, but the rate/hour was a bit handy so I let them pick me, I let them choose if I were up to it .....

..... managed to blag it for four well paid weeks before I was terminated gracefully :)

So I left work at 10 to 6...and walked down the stairs.

I took the lift up this morning though, it is the 5th floor. My flow rates are terrible. In the how can poor people afford to be fat there was a link to 'skinny fat person' syndrome - that is me to a 'T'.
    I think....
