A bit of advice needed, a Polish friend is visiting the UK on business at the moment, I have the phone number (Polish version +48 prefix), do I replace the 48 with 44? or use the +48 and it will be diverted?'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0

Dial the foreign number it will be diverted. Ask if they have a uk sim to save them some money!0

yeah you have to dial the foreign number. like when you go abroad and your mrs vanishes and you have to text her UK number and get charged £1 billion because she spotted something shiny and wandered off.0

Ahh, the other virtue of an angagement ring...one's own bit of shiny to carry around. Especially good in places where lighting is good for jewellery etc. I actually do not have an engagement ring, but my wedding ring has a teeny tiny diamond in it. It's miniscule but good clarity and colour, and very sparkly.0 -
i could put 10 shiny rings on each of her fingers and it wouldn't stop her being distracted. like a ruddy magpie.0

Text convo between me and DS when he is in the flat:
DS: Arrived.
me: good. you should be using the other phone as yours will charge you 40p a text.
DS: OK will do.
me: that just cost you 40p!
DS: ye, I know.
me: so use the other phone!
DS: OK
me: another 40p, just to say "OK"
DS: oh ye, sorry!

So did I. 4 normal teeth too. So I only have 24 now. There isn't space for any others, so they had been coming through all over the place at strange angles.lemonjelly wrote: »I always feel that way. I constantly feel like a 6 year old, bewildered & all this stuff going on around me...:o
My dad is 86. He seems grown-up to me, but he says sometimes he feels 4, or 17, or something.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
So, new date for heating starting to go in .....Monday...the week after next. Not nice builders fault, he was trying to get heating people to start much sooner, but the heating peoe won't take the gamble he will be finished. I have noticed he works really well to deadlines, so I know if he says it's doable then it is doable.
I have to buy some floor paint when dh's pay cheque comes through, Grey or black? I thought black might, at a push, look sort of like slate? Otherwise grey,..for quietness.0 -
I think I am about 24. I also think I am brunette. I am neither of those things any more and some days recently I have felt every one of my years and some extra.
The low point this week has got to have been being described in this thread as a coffin dodger. Should we ever meet in RL the poster of that can stop worrying about their wisdom teeth as I will prabably knock them out with the punch I will throw.
Mr Spirit has been awating a quote for some dentistry. He has sent a text to me today to say he has the email and that he thinks he will have to sell a kidney. It is £8-10,000:eek:
It would probably be cheaper to have a couple of LIR's white ceramic stoves installed. He would not be able to eat toffees though.0
