My LL burnt some vile smelling food two days ago ... and two days on still hasn't wiped up the miscellaneous veggie bits that missed the pan, or the splashes of grease and oil and liquid.... and the huge (sink sized) pan is still "in soak" in the sink, cluttering it up.
Consequently I can either clear it all up, then cook my own stuff .... or ignore it and not attempt to go near the kitchen. I chose option 2... again.0 -

Option 3: take it out of the sink, stick it on side, use sink for yours and then stick it back at end to continue to fester. Don't let it get to you! Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Houses are becoming less and less affordable here IMHO. We're overstretched on two incomes. I can easily imagine people in teir 50s struggling to find their own place here. If nobody does something soon, London might as well sail off and become another country outside England.:(
Michaels our spot o' business has come to a good conclusion and many thanks are due to your good self!
Prices are ludicrous. If I was on an average wage (for London - £40k or so is average full time I think) I would just give up and move somewhere else I think. If your househild income is less than £100k you haven't got a hope in hell of having an acceptable standard of living. I literally don't understand how most people afford it - the number of people who earn enough to actually buy property in London is pretty small compared to the number of ludicrously priced houses. Something will have to give eventually.
Sharing is fine when you're single and under 30, but sharing with randoms can be horrid, and once you reach 30ish it starts to become a less attractive proposition I think.0 -

Out of interest, if you get the bungalow, how big is it compared to the little studio place that's normally a holiday let and the caravan? Will you have more space than in those? Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Yeah we like it. So much so we moved 200yds last time and we just put an offer on another about another 200yds away. Refused though. We're not going to increase.
It's the one which would stretch us anyway. The one I said we couldn't afford. :rotfl:
Actually I'll send a PM. It's a project and a half but needs to come down in price imo.
Getting an architect in to change this one again now instead.
There's no need to move 200 yards if you haven't taken the one you have as far as it will go, IMO though it does look a fantastic house. The SDLT itself would go a long way towards an extension etc, let alone the other associated fees with moving.
You should ask lostinrates where she found her builder, I hear they're good at that sort of thing
I know a reasonably priced planning consultant very locally to you. Only because she's dealing with our appeal now, but she does start from the beginning of the planning process too. We've used our architect for such a long time; she's great but she doesn't do appeals.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I am a lodger (sharing with daughter of owner). Everything is in, most of it unpacked. Person who I'm lodging with seems nice enough... Early days but its a good start. Flat is more shabby than chic but definitely capable. Only issue is can't work out how to get a signal on the TV (supposed to be plugged into a no longer active sky box, but not convinced it is) and flatmate has gone out so looks like no Homeland for me tonight. Oh well. Goes off to find out who is out of Strictly...
Spare a thought for me - I can't find the remote control so the TV is stuck on ITV2 (I watching the Corrie Omnibus and XFactor this morning). I have the choice of The Only Way is Essex or the dark. I prefer the company of the TV, but there is the oddest looking girl on there. It looks like she is wearing fake teeth over her real teeth. And someone was having beauty treatments whilst wearing FULL make up.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

This is one of the differences between you posh NPs and me ... you buy houses then double the size of them with architects.... I buy inadequate houses and put up with them as I'm maxed out0
