max/min thermometer tells me it was +0.4 celcius last night round my way.

Went to the cinema last night (Skyfall - recommended) and the car said +3 on the way home and that was only 11pm!

Are you really a general? Like from world war II or something?

Dear me- I always suspected the West Midlands could give Herts a run for its money as a NP heartland but I didn't realise the density of NPs per cubic furlong up there was so high. You guys must all be fighting for the same parking space half the time!

    Herts: sc, viva, michales, CK
Wolverhampton and environs: lj, doozer, nikkster jb.
As a neutral outsider, I therefore declare it a draw (until Nikkster moves).

I'll only give you Nikkster if I can claim lydia as ours and we'll be the M5 corridor nice peeps.

Quite envious of Jonny, if we didn't have kids then I'd love to live in your bit and walk in. Loads of interesting buildings as well.

I know lj's avatar says Wolverhampton, but when he said he walked to work once, he must have walked all night to get there? I wondered if he'd moved or just liked walking alot.

No offence taken nor meant! As I say I named myself after a stupid name I gave an alarm clock when I was a student. It's not possible to be offended by the connotation someone puts on that name.

It's remarkable the number of posters on here down the years that have said they were disappointed to find out that I'm not a retired General living in Tunbridge Wells.

For a long time I thought you must have worked at Generali at some point during your city career. I think it was only when I saw someone ask you that 2-3 years ago that I realised that wasn't the case either.

You know what it's like when you are put on the spot to think up something like a username, you can never think of anything good.

I think I might have posted a few times under a different name and then lost the login details. That might have been The Fool though.

ooooh bonus balls!! Just got in, fired up the PC .... and I think the LL just farqued off out :)

Downside is ... no idea where/what for, so I can't guess how much free time I've got :)

Top tip: NEVER share. Ever. SRSLY..... don't.

I spent the last 2 hours driving 10 miles to an indoor market/car boot (about 10 tables) .... and realised I can get everything I need there ..... if I have a home. Everything from cheap veggies through to second hand furniture that they allegedly deliver 'locally', so I'd have to work out how far is local.
