I'm 5 minutes away from said DVLA barn, but the other side compared to doozers barn.

Didn't think it was too cold today. Lovely in the sun this afternoon. Hedge all cut. Looks great. :)

Freezing! It is very, very, very cold out there right now!

Do you live near Tesco, JonnyB? Or the crazy swans at county hall?

It's still not so bad here this morning. Nippy of course, but not wickedly so.

Over doing it yesterday has left be hobbling a bit this morning, but not too badly at all.:)

Pn, I would look for somewhere witha washing machine, really.

Beds etc as you say. You can improvise, but witha working schedule hand washing or a laundrette are going to be extremely grating.

Beggars can't be choosers. I can't view anywhere else until next Saturday (got an appointment for 10am) - but even that's unfurnished too.

I don't have the luxury of sitting round for months and months, waiting for one to become available that I can afford that has a washing machine - with the added problem of agents not being able to phone me if they have something and viewings tricky to arrange as I am at work.

I have a deadline - and because of the delays of credit checking etc I need to make sure I have somewhere really....

I was 30 before I had a washing machine; hand washed everything until then. It's not too hard.

I guess you produce less washing than we do too.....thinking about impact of animals and gardening. Our washing machine works HARD. I never thought I would buy a dryer, but this wet summer, last heatless winter....I have been glad for it.

One week would probably be: one towel, one set of bedding, 7 thongs, 4 bras, 7 pairs of socks, 1 pair of jeans, 1 pair of leggings, 3 lightweight tops. What I tend to do though is let it build up for 3-4 weeks so I can fill a machine with a couple of loads (whites, coloureds).... so I can go down a launderette until I get one.

Nearer the centre than either of those. We walk into the centre for drinks/entertainment. But lets be honest, mainly drinks. :D

I was in your neighbourhood today. was on the train when spotted an english man and australian lady couple going on a night out in london.

wondered if it was chewy and mrs chewy but doubt it :rotfl:

I've seen chewie and future wife several times coming out of Twickenham's Bargain Booze.

There's nowhere to go ..... it's raining/cold. I can find a couple of "outdoor in a field" car boots in a couple of hours, but even that's pushing it for where to go.

I've nothing that needs buying, I dislike shopping.... and the LL's housebound so won't be giving me the usual respite by farquing off out with friends/etc.

    :(

Looking forward to "MY SPACE!" :) With my space I don't havet to go out... I only need to go out to "get away"...
