What do the nice peeps know/think about DVRs?
At the moment we have a BT Vision box. It's fine, up to a point, but the capacity isn't very big, and there's no capability to connect to an external hard drive. It's great being able to record an entire series automatically, but I'd like to be able to keep the whole series indefinitely without running out of space.
It also irritates me by the way it labels the episodes solely with the name of the show, and even if you click on the episode, quite often you only get a few names of actors, rather than the episode title. It's bad enough if we've recorded half a dozen episodes of something, but I imagine if we do get the capacity to record several series of something, then the organisational problem will become more significant. In an ideal world I'd like to be able to add to the labels with, for example, season and episode number, but I expect that's not possible.
So, people, advice please. Thanks.
ETA We like the "record two things at once" and "record conflict resolution" features of the BTVision box and would want those.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
