Top 5 movies.
I am scared of a lot of cinema or tv - violence etc so have seen very little really. I probably make Pastures look like a movie buff.
Much ado about nothing
Pretty woman
Slumdog millionaire - but was horrified by some of it
The ladykillers
Junglebook0 -
netball skills getting a dusting off as I try and shoot rolls of insulation through the loft hatch. Shoulders aching! But fun.0

I am terrible at remembering films I have seen, even a day or 2 later.
Memorable favourites:
4 weddings and a funeral,
bend it like Beckham,
love actually
happy feet

This 5 movies thing has opened my eyes; there's films here I haven't heard of, let alone seen.
My fave sci fi was Blade Runner, while i usually like space opera type things, I've always imagined the real future will be us all living in tenements while robots explore space, which is pretty much what that movie is predicting.
I was once passing through Leicester Square on a wet Saturday night and I kept on getting feelings of deja vu from that film.:eek:There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
I'm surprised none of the girls have said Dirty Dancing!0

I thought I was saintly for having let Mr S take bits of engines out on the kitchen table. Why engines in the loft?
No car bits in my house. Thankfully drtifosi has no interest in anything that gets his hands dirty. Just a lateral thought on what we could do to get stuff up there. It works very well and everyone we've shown it has wanted one. They are on sale at Lidl every now and again for about £50 and works really well in this other purpose. Mind you, nothing ever gets hoisted that weighs much compared to car engines so it is hopelessly over engineered. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I need these. Be useful at the top of the back steps where I chuck washing down, to bring the washing back up!0 -
I don't have a top 5 films and if you ask me next week I'll give a different answer. Among my favourites though are:

An American Werewolf In London (which is as scary as I do)
Sum of All Fears
French Connection
Others that I really like include
Two Mules for Sister Sarah
Life of Brian
The Artist
Shawshank - one of the finest in terms of acting - ever
Close Encounters of the Third Kind
CasablancaPlease stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Life of Brian was good. I seem to remember it was banned in Glasgow and we had to go to a cinema in Paisley to see it.
My taste in comedy is specially peurile I'm afraid . Funniest film in my top 5 was a black and white comedy called Clerks very much not suitable for family viewing. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0
