We are having marinated topside of need and cauliflower cheese (we love beef with cauli cheese and have this over roast and yorkshires or steak and chips as our default). Plus red wine. And that's it.I think. Icecream in the freezer if they want anything else.

    Miss having a fridge today!

I'm just so tired.... and I don't feel this is "home". Even so, I'd never buy/cook topside of beef; but I've never bought/cooked meat. No point "just for me" and all that :)

I am amazed that "Pulp Fiction" doesn't get a mention.

    :j

I got to be honest that was just outside my top five. We drove miles to the cinema but we could not stop talking about it all the way home as we tried to reassemble it in our minds. We felt we'd spent about £10 but it was put together with such care and attention it was worth about £50-100.
I remember someone pointed out the thing to watch out for was when Vincent Vega goes to the toilet. I better not say any more in case any NPs haven't seen it. Do yourself a favour and do see it if you haven't.

I expect it would be easier to follow by those NPs who, like me, can remember double features back in the 60s /eary 70s. You'd often arrive after the B movei started and after the main feature was finished you'd sit through the start of the B movie again and when you recognised the bit where you came in, you thought for a moment to make it made sense. gave each other the nod and got up and left.;)

It didn't beat "The Others" as that was the most genuinely creepy frightener I've seen in decades. Don't know why but the bit where the cupboard door swings open and the little girl pretends to her brother she's befriended someone inside it in the dark and invites it to come out and meet him......

Lol, that's usually how I feel about carbs. Except baked potato, the ultimate lazy cooking thing.

Baked potatoes always seem such a waste of time/electricity; putting the whole oven on for just one spud. Therefore, I would nuke one - but it's just not the same is it.

Now, yes it's possible to fill the oven and bake other things - but that's pretty long-winded/annoying if all you wanted was a spud and now you're having to cook a whole oven of stuff.... and then that stuff has to be frozen, so [a] do you have space in the freezer will you actually fancy it/is it as nice re-heated from frozen.

So ... proper baked spuds ... a past life dream :)
