My direction is actually just over the border from Essex....the border is literally in the middle of the river just 2 miles from my parents house. However, by road, it takes a hell of a lot longer......, by the ferry (not even sure if we still have the ferry to be honest!), we can be in Harwich in a mere few minutes, by road, it takes an hour. Only 25-30 minutes from Colchester though by road....

They talk funny the further north you go into Suffolk and have funny ways, we are more like Essex people with a twang of Suffolk :rotfl:

I may have been closer to you than I thought. I got the train to and from Sudbury.

When I read it, I thought that the previous householders had installed it as they did something with car engines in the loft. I think.I have killed a large number of brain cells (and probably a significant part of my liver) this weekend.

Life of Brian was good. I seem to remember it was banned in Glasgow and we had to go to a cinema in Paisley to see it.

My taste in comedy is specially peurile I'm afraid . Funniest film in my top 5 was a black and white comedy called Clerks very much not suitable for family viewing.

That very nearly was on my list but i thought no one would know it! I LOVED clerks!

I rarely watch films but today I'm watching them on channel 5. I've watched Fun with !!!!!! and Jane (strange) and now Sleepless in Seattle is on.

DH has taken DD to the cinema.

The greatest film ever made is topgun. Armageddon, Gladiator, Footloose (not the effing remake) and The Warriors complete my top 5. The greatest line in cinema history is "hey, i like that hat. they sell men's clothes where you got that?"

I am terrible at remembering films I have seen, even a day or 2 later.

    Memorable favourites:

    4 weddings and a funeral,
    bend it like Beckham,
    love actually
    happy feet

    sorry!

I quite like animated films, happy feet was pretty good but I prefer wall-e.

3.5 hours to find a pair of jeans that fitted and didn't cost a king's ransom.

I ended up finding ONE pair of jeans that weren't really probably the right size, but they were a 27" leg.

So many shops say trousers/jeans are "regular" or "short", but don't tell you the measurements - and most of those mean "short" is 30". Asda's "short" jeans, when held up against me, had at least 4" trailing on the floor still.

Never got round to looking at tops! But I have some jeans for work at least.... that kind of fit. Bon Marche had one size 12, no size 10s.... so couldn't try them both to see, had to try the 12 and just buy the soddin' things.

Just realiswd I didn't give my 5 favourites but talked about hem one by one. They are and are there for:
    Sixth Sense -cleverness
    The Others -spookiness
Blade Runner; -is it the future; could be Leicester Square on a wet Saturday night?
    Aliens: action rather than scifi
Clerks: it's just funny that's all.

Not very grown up I'm afraid. I have seen some worthy films but they're not up there. I tried to sit through Ayn Rand's the Fountainhead recently (easy to find on the internet) and lost the will to live about a quarter of the way through. seen more emotion in the Woodentops!:D

I'm enjoying Homeland and Hunted which would both make excellent films.

I really enjoy watching homeland. I'm disappointed with Hunted, but you might spot me in the background as I was an extra when they filmed part of it at my last workplace.

no top 5 films for me but do love top gun and wall-e.

Also a very long engagement, the others, etc

I have a very short attention span so not very suited to watching movies. I'm a TV crime show kind of gal.

This weekend, I have eaten a jar of peanut butter with a jar of nutella together....it's scary how much I can eat of that stuff. (and if there were reece's pieces, I would have pretty much eaten whatever was lying around).
