I'll be taking some more photos for ebay today too and listing this afternoon and also giving the soap making a go in a bit - an easy safe recipe rebatching soap into handmade flavoured soap - I'll let you know how it goes as it was a thing on your list too. Grated 4 bars of soap for £1.50 - no idea how many bars this will turn into anyway have got the sillicone bakeware out ready to go!
This made me laugh, like that silly insurance advert "IT'S A COMMERCIAL!" Anyway I'm interested in how this soap turns out!! The recipe I have is one with caustic soda and the like (I'm sure you've come across these) and as silly as it sounds I never even considered using actual soap as a base!!!
I guess then you add your scents and bits and pieces?? I'm excited haha (what a loser I am!) Hope it goes well! September 2016 GC £21.37/£1200 -
20p savers - I do that too
Infact I have a 'pot' for 20ps one for 5ps one for 50ps that have a picture on the reverse and of course the £2 sheep money box and one of those over sized whiskey bottles ( from my student days when I worked in a pub) which tip all my coppers in:D I regulary ( well when full) empty the pots to pay various bills although £2 coins are saved for something special. Banks hate taking loose change and I soooooooooo love going in and handing them over! I havent touched the whiskey bottle for many many years - my kids cant wait cos there are half pences at the bottom and they have never seen them- wonder how much it will all come to ................. £10/15??:rotfl::rotfl:
I've had a copper tin and a 5p jar for years and years, I always found anything above that too easily spendable but I guess in the same way they add up fast. Not long ago I cashed my 5p jar in and there was £15, the bank cashier lady made me feel like a child, and it doesn't help that I have the face of a twelve year old in the first place!! I was super shocked that there was that much in it though! Simple things hey :rotfl:
And, HALF PENCES?! I want to see you empty it too, I've never seen any!!! You must have had it forever!!

Oh and I think you're aiming a bit high if you expect as much as £15 out of it :rotfl::pSeptember 2016 GC £21.37/£1200

Oh I am soooooooooo old  But like you dont look it, much to the annoyance of the 21 yr old DD1 who constantly gets ID'd every where she goes.....one day she will be grateful of her youthful genes:rotfl:
I may well have a sneaky 'count up ' of those coppers as I am curious now!Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

It's the bane of my life - I actually had to argue my way to buying a pair of scissors a few years ago! Although I do get a lot of joy out of the look on their faces when I show my ID. Youthful genes are okay once you look over 18!!! How did you get on with the sneaky count??
Been quite a good weekend, although as always it seems to be Sunday evening TOO FAST. Yesterday was NSD, and I sorted out my 'spare' bank account, changed the PIN and put £120 petrol money in it. This is the start of my piggybanking, although for now I can't think of any other piggybanks to have? I'm sure I'll discover in time! Went out for dinner in the evening but this was paid for by OHs parents as it was his birthday do with the family
Today I ebayed mainly, listed 7 items before I got bored and needed to go to my Dad's to pick up the vinyl I sold forever ago on Amazon, which will be posted tomorrow. Anyway one item has a bid already (only 99p but still a bid after 4 hours!) and I have another dress with 9 watchers in the same amount of time. There's also a scattering of other watchers on other items
The envelope for my old phone has arrived already too! I only got the quote (or however you say it) on Friday and I had the envelope in yesterday's post! So will be posting that tomorrow, with the record and a present for my friend who lives in London
Think that's all I have tonight! Will list the remaining ebay stuff tomorrow, after the dreaded dentist

Been to post office in the miserable miserable weather to post the dreaded Amazon package and my friend's birthday present, costing me £4.40. Was naughty cos I forgot my lunch today so had to buy a sandwich which was £1.65. Put together with £13.98 I spent on ordering Christmas presents this brings my total spends since payday £21.52, leaving me £4.99 till next payday (21st Dec) I still have eBay sales to potentially make and posted my old phone off today too so fingers toes arms and legs are all crossed hoping when they do their checks they'll still offer me £45 for it cos it'll really help to have that extra!!!!
Hope everyone else is having a good day despite the miserable outside!September 2016 GC £21.37/£1200 -
Hi Scuff,
Well done on the ebay sales and to finally sending off the Amazon sale
I hope you didn't get too wet and wind blown out there earlier? x0 -
Thanks pmo2! Let's just hope this guy doesn't decide to be annoyed with his 3 week late parcel eek! & I haven't actually sold the eBay stuff yet but it's looking good
I read your post earlier at work and was going to say it's not that rainy here, just drizzly and really dark. By the time I got out of the car at home though... different story! I thought too soon. Right best get back out in it to the dentist. Yay. September 2016 GC £21.37/£1200 -
Hi Scuff, you sound as busy as ever! hope the eBay items do well, mine finished yest, made £50 plus bit extra on postage hopefully.
Good luck with the phone.

Thanks GL
& as of next week I plan to be not busy at all! I was hoping for tonight off after the dentist but now we're off to the pub, and I haven't seen people in a while so it'll be nice. Not planning on buying any drinks though, hopefully this will go un-noticed!
Had a shock at the dentist, decided to pay today even though it's treatment 1 of 2. I'd been quoted £360 for the treatment but paid a £30 deposit. The receptionist pressed a few buttons, check the amount and enter your PIN ermmm why are you charging me £350? Anyway after I queried it, it turned out she'd just forgotten to take off the £30 but RESULT I'm £10 better off than I thought. Two things to note (to myself really..) 1) Not so long ago I would have just paid it and not thought about it and 2) I wouldn't have viewed £10 as a lot of money. But I've more than tripled my available funds :rotfl:
Anyway, pub time!September 2016 GC £21.37/£1200
