Hope you get a good rest this evening Scuff- life gets so busy at times doesnt it?
I am still trying to simplify my schedule- another hour a day would help!

Hi GL
It took me two days to recoup, I blinked at my desk yesterday lunchtime (luckily!) and when I reopened my eyes it was 20 mins later, so I must have nodded off!! Fell asleep bolt upright watching telly last night at 9ish, and I feel back to my normal (as I can be!) self this morning!
I've decided routine is the key - it's just getting the routine sorted that I'm struggling with. Actually had a minor breakdown the night before last, ended up sitting in the washing machine closet in the dark like a nutter. Mildly amusing now but I'm trying not to think about it because I start to feel panicky again. Feel ridiculous because plenty of people cope with everyday life, what right do I have to not cope, I don't even have any children to deal with!! Need to get back on my lists and back sorted!!!
Will post a proper post when it's actually lunch time and I don't have to keep minimising my screen!!!September 2016 GC £21.37/£1200 -
Just realised how daft that was - it was only 4 mins before lunch time!!!! :rotfl:
Anyway, the past week has been a bit (lot) bleurgh. I've been about on here, reading you good people's diaries but really lacked all a*sedness to actually type out a post of my own.
Pretty much describes how I've been feeling about everything tbh!! MSE has gone a bit to pot, although relative to how I have been before, not bad at all, just slightly down the fritter-away-pennies-i-dont-have route.
As I mentioned earlier I've been super tired lately, I think this is something to do with losing 45mins sleep every morning and not going to bed earlier to compensate. OH hasn't been to work today or yesterday and I've decided that although I have been feeling more tired and as a result more grumpy, I do actually prefer getting up and pottering around for that extra bit in a morning - will try to go to bed earlier instead of suffering!! This should also mean that instead of coming home from work and feeling tired and overwhelmed, I'll go back to getting stuff done! And no more crumbling into a teary mess on the laundry room/cupboard floor!!!
Let's look at the positive things!
- I've started my Christmas card makingSo have got 5 completed (scaled down as original plan required too many trees:rotfl:) little cards, will post a photo when I get home tonight
Must have got to around 400 trees!! Just under half left so will get back on cutting out when I've used up the ones I've done!
- Made a serious dent into my Christmas Shopping! Momma and I bumbled across the Pennines to the Trafford Centre and I got my Dad sorted, couple of stocking fillers for OH & friends, which although doesn't sound like a lot is a veritable part of it done. And I didn't spend a penny (on presents anywy, I did treat us to a coffee each) as I used my vouchers. I now have £160 left for the remainder of my presents, which should be doable. Off to get some more out of the way on Saturday! Don't know if I mentioned before but I'm putting together bags of crafty goodness for my friend's little ones (more for the older one, the 2yo is getting more toddler friendly presents) I bought bags with their names printed on before I started MSE, and I've been slowly finding stuff to go in them. Bobbed into Wilkos for some foam to go around the windows and doors in the flat and whilst I was there I saw a pencil case ful of bits - pipe cleaners, lolly sticks, foam shapes etc for £2.50!! I thought this was really good as most of the things I've been looking at (and thinking they were reasonable, in Tesco things are really well priced btw!) have been 50p - £1 each pack, and there must be a selection of 7 or so different things in there. So I'm going to separate the case out and add them to the present. This means she's sorted
Just need to find a book! :j
- Draft proofed the flat with £3.60 foamy stuff which should save on electric!
-With a week to go til payday for me and the joint (I get paid first) we have around £240 left. This has NEVER happened before, we always end up having to add extra money in, and we only have one food shop left to do. :j:beer:
Need to make a BIG LIST of all I need to do, so this will keep me on the straight and narrow and hopefully get some stuff done in my life! Will do this in a separate post - I'm sure by now anyone reading has fallen asleep!!!September 2016 GC £21.37/£1200 -
Oh and another thing to add to the positives: got £10 m&s voucher through from valued opinions! Will buy some flowers for my nannas 70th with this !September 2016 GC £21.37/£1200

Wow thats one long list scuff, good luck getting through it all.

What a start to today I had, OH went off to work (60 miles away on the train) with my car keys in his pocket!!! So I had to emergency train and taxi it, got in just in time!! And it cost £20, but I'm claiming this on joint expenses! The rest of the day was good in all fairness, although the temptation of M&S sushi was calling as I was in the station to come home, so I ended up spending £4.14
Ticked a few jobs off my list today:

*Make fleece blind for kitchen
*Take bag of clothes to charity shop
*[STRIKE]Clean kitchen windowsill[/STRIKE] Alright alright, this is cheaty cos I did it and then added it to my list but it took me ages, there were basically loads of plants on there that had dropped their leaves / petals and needed sorting so I did that, and then due to the damp from the stupid windows, I de-moulded the bit where window meets sill. Job. and. a. half!
Items with a * are additions that I've remembered since I posted before!September 2016 GC £21.37/£1200 -
Love, love the card! I wish I was crafty. I use the excuse of buying charity cards to feel like I'm contributing to society but in reality any card I came up with would look like a three year old's effort, and less charming!
I know exactly how you feel about shutting yourself in the laundry cupboard, but don't make the mistake of thinking you can't have a wobble because others have more responsibilities than you. If you are having a down moment, be nicer to yourself, things get on top of everyone and everyone has their 'stuff'!Barclaycard [STRIKE] £2770 [/STRIKE] now £2690.
