I agree fudgefund- nobodys problems are better or worse than your own- we just need to be kind to ourselves when we have our meltdowns (which I have regularly- usually over the small stuff that doesnt matter in the grand scheme of things!).
Your list is HUGE scuff, just make sure it doesnt overwhelm you.
Hope youre having a good weekend.

Thanks guys, that really means a lot, especially after I've wound myself up thinking everyone will think I'm incapable of real life! Fudgefund my eyes nearly did a water!! Really grateful for being on here, not just for the money saving aspect, it's lovely to feel a bit of support!! Only reason I didn't thank you guys sooner is cos I'[ve had pretty much the busiest weekend ever! Glad to be back at work so I can sit down!!!!! :rotfl:

GL, as much as a big list may cause mass panic, I actually find it calms me down because 1) I'm not panicking about what I might have to do and 2) I feel smugly self satisfied when I cross things off :rotfl:
Busy weekend was had by us! Saturday morning I had a VERY overdue haircut (£34 ) and then bobbed into Boots to pick up some 3 for 2 pressies - using a 10% off friends and family coupon and my vouchers from work, I managed to get 3 presents ticked off for £4.30!! OH & I then went into Leeds (nearest big town) under the illusion of getting some Christmas presents but not much happened other than lunch. I did manage to get some books again using my work vouchers and spent in total £1.98 of my own money.
We went out to dinner for my Nans 70th (paid for by stepdad yum yum) and so I also bought her a card and some flowers - £12 + £1.50, using a £10 m&s voucher I got through surveys = £3.50
Sunday I spent most of the day doing odd jobs / cleaning up / went to visit Dad, so was an NSD
This means over the weekend I have spent a grand total of £43.78
Crieky, only worked that out as I was posting - I was feeling so proud tooSeptember 2016 GC £21.37/£1200 -
Wow- busy weekend Scuff- hope you have a quieter week. Sounds great on the MSE front- and nice to have time with your family.0

If only GL, manic manic manic for the forseeable future - this time of year is always super crazy as it's when most important to me birthdays fall (mainly mine :rotfl:less than 5 weeks to go!! EEEEK too much to do for it to be that close, I have 18 cards to make still!!)
Monday was THE WORST CRAZY DAY EVER!! OH's birthday was yesterday, but (something I've guiltily kept quiet about as it's highly highly highly non MSE and frivolous, but deposit was paid pre diary days and I'd budgeted money for the rest so I didn't want to lose my deposit!) we went away on a surprise trip to a fancy 'restaurant with rooms' for the afternoon / evening, and got back today. This meant that I was effectively 'stealing' him from his family on his actual birthday, so we invited them around for tea Monday night as a pre-birthday birthday celebration, which turned out to be lovely but BOY was I running round like a nutter?!! I was up at 6am on Monday baking birthday cake, went to work at 7:30, relaxed at work :rotfl: that's what it felt like anyway, I didn't relax really!!, home at 5:30 via supermarket, iced the cake finished cleaning the house made flatbreads found the extra chairs ran down to get stuff off my mum ran up and finished the flat breads OH home he made the actual food (he's the chef) guests arrived sit down, breathe, eat, enjoy. Fall asleep on the sofa (after guests have gone, ofc!) And yes, I purposefully left out all commas there to show just how fast I was running around!! I didn't even have time to check MSE which I ALWAYS manage to sneak in. Tuesday morning I was again running around packing our bags and getting us in the car, and then a 120 mile drive to the top secret location ensued. And then RELAXINGGGGGG!!!! And eating beaut food (18 courses deee-lishhhhh-iousssss) feeling generally frivolous and although I enjoyed it IMMENSELY (totes went and bought a present for OH that was really for me  nar he loved it too) I'm well and truly in the mind frame of save not splurge and pay off those debts Scuff!!!!! Come January, those cards are not gonna know what's hit them!!
I also really want to get back on the posting every day malark, this mega-post has taken me nigh on an hour to write, and then all the catching up on everyone else's which took hummhumm another hour??
Here's how the list is looking, not much has changed but I have done a lot that's not on the list so I feel happy.

Sorting out the filters on the ventilation system has done WONDERS. The flat is no longer a damp mess and you literally have a shower, walk out to get dry / dressed, go back in to put the towel away and BAM it's dry in there - before I could go to work and the bathroom would still be steamy when I got home 9 hours later!!!!!
Apologies for the super long post - I think I'm fully up to date now!!!! :ASeptember 2016 GC £21.37/£1200 -
Update on Christmas cards - I now have 10 :j this means only 15 to go (although around 7 of them - I still need to work it out - are twice the size
)
Let's all do the Christmas card making dance, wahoooo :j
I think I need to go to bed - I have work in the morning and I'm getting way too excited over 10 cards - this is not even 50% lady!!!
Night all!September 2016 GC £21.37/£1200 -
Today is another busy day in Scuffland - 'baby' sitting (they aren't babies at all - 10 and 12) for my cousins after work. Which means I need to zoom home on the rush hour motorway, put the ironing away / tidy a bit and then go and collect them from wherever they are (they're doing something to do with Christmas Light Switch-on) entertain them until my Auntie has done her stuff, and then I think I'll be ready for bed!
At least then it'll be tomorrow, which isn't only Friday (Wahoo weekend!) it's PAYDAYYYY!!!!! Yeah!! It's usually around dinner time that it goes in, so if I don't get any time tonight tomorrow lunch I need to draw up a bidget for this months expenses due to Christmas etc (last pay before Christmas will be 21st, which is hardly helpful present and food wise!! But I should be able to bash into my debts sooner rather than later as I can't think of anything I'll need to buy in that pay month, especially as it's my birthday too) I have the dentist on Monday - £££ - Lovely crown for Scuff
Joined the 20p savers club for 2013 and also will join £2 although I must admit I don't very often get £2 coins!!
Need to updat my sig and graphs but I don't want to!! I'm scared of the fact that they might have tipped the wrong way slightlySeptember 2016 GC £21.37/£1200 -
Feeling pretty fed up. Just used the budget planner to work out how much I have for the next month, and after everything essential goes out I have a total of £26.51 left over. This is without any overpayments, or things for Christmas (although most of it is coming from vouchers). The 60p I just put in my 20p pot suddenly seems pretty laughable!
Really fed up. Off for a cuppaSeptember 2016 GC £21.37/£1200 -
Time away with your OH sounds lovely and well deserved.
You're always so busy scuff!!
Ps could you please tell me how you posted your photograph on here? I am having probs doing it. Many thanks.

I did it a really complicated way and think I did it by fluke, using flickr, but I've just had a brief play with photobucket and its really easy that way. Sign up to it if you haven't already, upload your photo to that and then if you go onto the photo itself you should be able to right click it, select 'copy link location' and then paste this into the box on MSE that comes up when you 'insert image' (the little mountain picture above, sorry if that's teaching you to suck eggs!) Click ok and your photo should appear
x
Just to add it took me longer to type that than to do the thing itselfSeptember 2016 GC £21.37/£1200
