Went to oxford yesterday and found 2 giftsets in Body shop reduced from £10 each to £4 each - so they have been added to the box of goodies...

Does Boot do anything which you can use as a saving stamp scheme using the advantage card?

sure i read somewhere that you could

I'm hoping that they do the 3 for 2 thing again this year as it has saved me loads in past years

I have just stumbled across this thread and am overjoyed to see people even more mad and forward planning than I am regarding christmas.;)
I always buy in the January sales then forget about it till as late as August. But this year I am busy, very busy, so need to plan even further ahead than usual.
I saw some great £3.00 DVD:D bargains for the kids in tesco last week and bought some to put past for christmas.
And here was I thinking I was starting too early.

Re: Boots - I think the only way to save up with them would be to use a gift card - either go and get one with, say £3 and then you can top it up when you want, or if someone gave you one in the past and you spent it you can still use it - just go in and ask them to put some money on it for you. I believe that would be a good way of saving for Boots gifts but unfortunately no special deal involved such as you get in major supermarkets.

sure that the extra presents on their 3 for 2 will be plenty of bonus enough

Worked out if i used the card and toppped up by £3 a week that would give me £75 by Christmas which IF they do the 3 for 2 stuff should enable me to get £112 worth of presents and by the time they have started doing the 75% discount will have enough a couple for Christmas 2008:eek:

Generally agree with nickj. I stumbled on this thread and could'nt believe it started in April.
Very MSE, very organised, you will probably have last laughs in December.
I cannot think about xmas in July. I don't do any thing for xmas until December.
Am thinking about holidays and visiting family this weekend. Thinking about xmas now depressing me.

we'll all have a bigger laugh in January when most people are getting the dreaded credit card bills and it really is great to not be running around like a headless chicken a few days before christmas :D

Sorry this has depressed you though, have a great weekend with your family! :)
