Awww sorry Roz (if you're down about it) or well done, good move (if you're okay with it):D

And ditto to Dolly too!!! Crikey, I thought most people felt the pressure of Christmas a bit nearer the time, not this early!:rotfl:

Oh wow just a little flash of inspiration! :o

I'm going to make a grandson hamper for my youngests' granny! Was just chatting to him about him making some chocolate covered peppermint creams for her this year, and I'd already had the idea of the printed mug for her, with a pic of him on it.

But he's also been in a play lately that got filmed, so thought I could pop a copy of that in, then thought he could write a poem to her....................LOL then thought why not put it all in a hamper type thing, and hey presto a grandson hamper! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: That'll teach her for moaning that she doesn't see him much!! :T:T

Awwww cheers, I thought it would make a change from the usual stuff she gets, she gets fed up of nicknacks, scarves and Thorntons chocs

Need to think of a couple of more things to put in from him

Edit: OMG I'm on a roll..................just thought of a 'Neighbour hamper' for my neighbours who are friends too, then thought of a 'Friend hamper'!!! :rotfl:

A 'Friend hamper' would be dead easy, lots of pics of memories to choose from to put on the Truprint mugs, memory calendar - especially if you have a group of friends, one of you each month and group ones in between. Fave sweets or alcohol, vouchers for fave shops, or the Special Time vouchers :confused:

I can't believe how organised everybody is... I'm just rubbish! I've been reading through the hamper threads and I'm soooo inspired but from reading others comments do you think it's too late for me to start doing similar this year?? I have an obscene number of people to buy for... I have nine nieces and nephews just to start with!!! I love the idea of giving flavoured vodkas to my siblings (all five of them) And I'd like to do a gardening hamper for my OH's Grandad. Ooooh so many idea's but do I have enough time??
LOL don't panic........................I'm like you, I've only had ideas so far! :rotfl:

Just pick up things as and when you see them for your ideas, it soon mounts up! icon12.gif

Ive converted the OH to my christmassy ways! he left for work this monring in his fleece and hat and then abotu 11am i had a text saying ' im in hereford today (hes a driver) and i feel all christmassy, its lush!'.......he has now decided to have a weekend away to hereford to do our christmas shopping and asked me what our decorating theme this year was, i said maybe a snow theme and he said 'oh cant it stay traditional? i like the warmth of it' = fair enough!!! Yey Im so excited!!! He wants to look through our gift cupboard later too jsut to make a lsit of who is still to buy for - best go hide his stuff elsewhere but i think he'll be surprised as there is only about 7 people left to buy in total and 5 of them are children and the other 2 are our dads!!!

Just been to Mr T's in gloucester and they have reduced lots of their gift sets to £2 already. Some are almost 50% off!! Some lovely lavender sets that have a pot of bath salts and 2 soaps are £2 but in the catalogue are being sold seperately for £4 each!!! Lovely little spa set for £2 as well containing bath puff, 2 small bath bombs, small square bottles of shower gel and body lotion. I bought some for the kids to give as teachers pressies.

Also in the DVD section the Lord of the Rings trilogy set for £15!!

    Well chuffed today :rotfl:

  • a christmas tale of woe
there's just me and my son now but every year since as far as I could remember I used to put all my mum's decoration's up then come down and put mine up...then one year when mum was abit of a pain saying thing's like I don't like that there or could you just move that over there and that just doesn't look right....which got us both going abit as it was like she was doing thing's just to upset us...I mean I did this every year...so one year I didn't when mum asked when I was putting them up I said no not this year every year you have me going a round in circle's and just blattening taking the joy out of everything I do so I'm not this year...then my son said good cos I hate christmas...then after christmas...they both said that was the weidest christmas they had had cos of no tree or decoration's...I said it serve's you right for saying you hate christmas and to never being happy with your lot...they never complained again and now my son alway's ask's if I want to get them out and is so much different toward's christmas now...mum well she went to a better place 2 christmas's ago so it doesn't matter now although I alway's make a fancy christmas's wreath for her grave...so when you don't bother it make's them sit up and listen....:D

    I just found this site - http://www.buynothingchristmas.org/alternatives/index.html
maybe be useful ideas on there.

Sunshine if you are stuck I can find some clipart, let me know what you want. I'll see if I can find the template I used last year too, very happy to share it. I stapled them together like a cheque book but you could just as easily do them loose and just put them in a decorated envelope. or stitch together in a corner and tie with ribbon or something.

Edited to say - I perforated the 'cheques' with the sewing machine, no cotton!!! worked great. :D

Rosie can I be cheeky and ask for a template too please, go on, you know you want to! Lots of love, SAS xxx
