You can create a personal wish list of presents for you, your children (anyone and any occasion) adding items from anywhere (J.Lewis, Amazon, Boots, mail order catalogues and chariable donations).
So when someone asks "what does xxxx want for Christmas?" you can send them the list number and just like a wedding list, they can view the list and buy a gift. Saving everyone loads of time and money not having to trawl around the shopping centres.
Its free to register and use. People buy direct from the retailer so it doesn't cost any more on this site and you can use a price check site to find the best websites to add items from.
My DS had a great 16th birthday as he enjoyed putting his list together and then got lots of presents he really wanted (I didn't have a clue what to get him before) So all the children I have to buy presents for this Christmas have been instructed to use this site so I can do all my shopping online and be really organised! :T0 -
Could do with some advice as to where I'd be best getting the items on my list:
- Sachets of Options Hot Chocolate (are they on BOGOF or special offer anywhere?)
- 2 x Mini Bottles of Champagne (No idea where to get these cheaply?)
- Full Size Bottle of Baileys (As above, on offer anywhere?)
- Popcorn/Movie Themed Bucket (Needs to be fairly large - pail sized and preferably metal)
For the bucket I would try Woolies, I'm sure I saw them priced quite reasonably in there....it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

I can't believe how organised everybody is... I'm just rubbish! I've been reading through the hamper threads and I'm soooo inspired but from reading others comments do you think it's too late for me to start doing similar this year?? I have an obscene number of people to buy for... I have nine nieces and nephews just to start with!!! I love the idea of giving flavoured vodkas to my siblings (all five of them) And I'd like to do a gardening hamper for my OH's Grandad. Ooooh so many idea's but do I have enough time??0

Yes, course you have enough time:)
You just need a plan of action, set an evening aside and... ...
1. Write down exactly who you are to buy for and the price you are willing to spend.
2. You can do same presents for people on different sides of the family if they dont know each other or if you think they wouldnt mind the same pressie. This means you can use the buy one get one free offers and its less hassle trying to think of something else for them
3. List all the baskets/boxes you need to find.
4. Write down everything you know that you wish to buy (but dont be too rigid incase you find a bargain)
5. Now rewrite your list lol sorry but I find it easier this way and put items under categories of shops...i.e. woolworths/wilkinsons/boots/tescos etc.
6. Have a trip to a car boot and look for unopened toiltries/unopened games etc and baskets/boxes. This can be a good start for your baskets.
7. Buy cellophene/ribbon/bows from ebay/internet or local florists.
Hope this helps....and good luck :santa2:
