OK well I have just a few bits and pieces to get to finish another 8 presents, and then I've just got 8 more that I'm totally stuck on!!
Could do with some advice as to where I'd be best getting the items on my list:- Sachets of Options Hot Chocolate (are they on BOGOF or special offer anywhere?)
- 2 x Mini Bottles of Champagne (No idea where to get these cheaply?)
- Full Size Bottle of Baileys (As above, on offer anywhere?)
- Popcorn/Movie Themed Bucket (Needs to be fairly large - pail sized and preferably metal)
- Male Friend - 23yo, lives with girlfriend, works in a cinema (so films etc are out) - Need birthday and Christmas ideas for this one
- FIL - 49yo, Special Dietary Requirements so no food, Likes gadgets and things but MIL wouldn't be happy if I got him something that would keep him busy for a while but then would be abandoned :rotfl: Again, need birthday and Christmas presents
- OH - 22yo, likes ice hockey & plays every week
- Grandpa - typical friendly soul who can't say no when people ask a favour!! Widowed 15months ago and doesn't take enough care of himself! Was thinking a HM Food Basket with a bottle or two of his favourite tipple?
- Dad - will probably just get him some whiskey
- 1yo Cousin - has lots of toys etc, there is a new brother/sister on the way, previous presents include teddy bear and clothes...
Help!!!

A friend of mine has set up a wishlist website - whatidlove.co.uk ...she has loads of children to buy for (not all her own!) and as you never know what they want or what they already have, its a great idea.
You can create a personal wish list of presents for you, your children (anyone and any occasion) adding items from anywhere (J.Lewis, Amazon, Boots, mail order catalogues and chariable donations).
So when someone asks "what does xxxx want for Christmas?" you can send them the list number and just like a wedding list, they can view the list and buy a gift. Saving everyone loads of time and money not having to trawl around the shopping centres.
Its free to register and use. People buy direct from the retailer so it doesn't cost any more on this site and you can use a price check site to find the best websites to add items from.
My DS had a great 16th birthday as he enjoyed putting his list together and then got lots of presents he really wanted (I didn't have a clue what to get him before) So all the children I have to buy presents for this Christmas have been instructed to use this site so I can do all my shopping online and be really organised! :T0 -

I have barely started  i have my 6 year old a few bits inc optimus prime thats a big pressy sort of at nearly £40 :doh:oh and that great disney cars find on the grab it board, still alot more to get including a playstation 2 with games and accessories:(
I have no clue what to get my 18 month son, i have a musical bubble blowing thomas tank and pjs thinking maybe a lazytown pop up tent and a kitchen? dose anyone know where i could get a cheapish kids sweeping brush? he'd love that and would make life easier for me not having him clinging on the bottom of mine,
For everyone else i hav'nt even started mum and dad are getting hampers when i have cash start them  no idea about OH and the rest.
I'm lucky i dont have many to buy for just my boys, neice, my parents, OH parents, friends daughter and a great aunt. i agreed last year with my brothers and inlaws we would just buy for the kids as we're all in the same boat money wise, but its a shame for my youngest brother he dosn't even have any kids bless him, i think i'll have to get him a little something.;)
not sure if you have got a sweeping brush for your son yet(not got to the end of the thread) but try Instore/Poundstretcher they have a cleaning set in for £5 - it has a sweeping brush, dustpan, mop and bucket!!0 -

She is a little young at the moment to feel cheated but my friends birthday is on christmas eve and feels cheated if people buy her one present for both. You wouldn't give someone who has a birthday in July a present and say it will do for xmas too... I am not saying this is what you will do I was just pointing out how people can feel if they have a birthday so close to christmas day.
In the future years it might be worth putting money away in the year for the birthday so she doesn't miss out if you see what I mean.
As she is only 2 I think you can get away with buying her one gift maybe a doll for her birthday then it would be lovely for her to receive all the accessories, pram and clothes maybe, to go with the doll on xmas day.
I have learnt from experience not to spend too much on them when they are tiny as the expense comes when they are older and can start 'requesting' things. So at 2 yrs old its not the amount of money you spend its more the thought of what they will actually get the most use of in playing terms.
I hope she enjoys both days and its not too much stress for you.0 -
