sorry for being a thick head... I don't see any place on http://www.monilink.co.uk website to enter any pin code. Also there is only sign up page. No page there for existing member login.

I guess , I will get one code from mail by HSBC (say - ABCD)
And one code, I have set up via Monilink while using it on my phone (say - 111111).

As far I understand , I have to use 111111 code everytime I access Monilink from my phone.

Not sure what I have to do the ABCD code which I will get via post.

    Sorry for being so dumb
  • Hi Manish,

Just to clarify - you have managed to enter you card details on the website and download the MONILINK application to your phone?

Once download MONILINK to your phone you have entered a passcode/pin number which you will use everytime you want to use MONILINK?

You should receive a unique activation code through the post follow these instructions:

    1. Open MONILINK on your mobile phone.
    2. Enter your passcode/pin number when prompted
    3. You will see the card name that you registered on the website with an * next to it.
    4. Select the card name with the * next to it and you will then be prompted for the Card Activation Number that is included in the letter you received in the post.
    5. You are then ready to take full advantage of Mobile Phone Banking and Mobile Phone Top-Ups. For more info visit www.monilink.co.uk and select the handset help > User Guide page.

If you require any further assistance then please PM me with a contact number and I will give you a call.

    Good Luck.

  • Yes you can, but they will have to be registered on seperate phones i.e. register the joint account on your partners phone and your personal account on your phone.

Once you and your partner have received your £10, then just add your joint account to your phone so you can access both your personal account and joint account!

MONILINK allows you to add up to 10 HSBC, first direct and A&L accounts.

Let me know if you require anymore info
can 2 people from the same house do it for diffent account as we have a 1st direct joint account and i have a separate one to with FD adn do it to our own mobile phones?

Hi, I've a Sony Ericcson T610 mobile phone and after I receive the text from monilink, i am asked to go to a site for which my phone requires to create a WAP profile where it asks for an IP address. I do not know what to enter in that and therefore, I cannot connect to the site.

Now I've entered some raw data in the IP address and that leads to phone trying to connect but fails while 'verifying' with message "Communication Error, try again or contact you WAP provider".

    Any pointers please?

    Cheers

  • ,

Start the registration process again and on the first page (where you are asked to input your mobile number) click on 'Get the latest settings'.

A pop up window will appear, follow the instructions online and you will be sent the correct WAP settings for you mobile phone.

Let me know if you still have problems.

    Regards,

Monilink website is rubbish and provides rubbish support. I tried to find ways of registering to monilink website through my Sony Ericcson T610 which is a WAP enabled phone but got no help.
This link on their website says support available for Sony Ericcson T610 and T630 and takes you to phones help page where none of these models are listed:
    http://hsbc.monilink.co.uk/hsbc/info/help/faq/index.html#question10

The link "How do I enable my phone to work with GPRS & WAP?" does not take you anywhere.

Its been a waste of time for me. Good luck others!

    Kunal.
