Signed up to it with A & L a couple Of weeks ago, and used it a couple of times this week, works fine, However when checking my phones account balance I had been charged £1.50 each time for the Text Message thanking you for using their service, which arrive a couple of minutes after you use their service, came up on my bill as incoming text message.
I rang their customer service who will be looking into it, I am with T-mobile payg with a samsung D600.
Just to update everyone, I received a phone call this morning (14/06/2007) from Monilink after sending them my bill (as requested below) and a very nice man said that there had been a technical problem and that they would be reimbursing my money plus a bit more for the inconvenience.0 -

really?!??!?! I'm off to check my O2 account.
I've used this service 4 times (including looking up a statement) so I got two txts after saying thanks... which is annoying in itself as I don't need a thankyou! but if I've had to pay £3 just for one check (balance & statement) then that is crazy!
HSBC don't give you a balance when you withdraw money you have to check seperately which I'm not use to - much easier just to give available balance on your receipt the first time around! Where I live the only type of cash machines are the type that cost £1.75 to withdraw money and I don't use these so having something on my phone that enables to check my balance is useful but works out more expensive... damn.
I'll let you know if O2 do the same.
thanks for the warning.
(I used my wap to check my email (literally for a minute) 3 times two months ago and O2 charged me £42 for it!)Light bulb moment April 07: [strike]£3,655 [/strike] Oct 07: [strike]£2,220[/strike] now 0 - 3 years of Uni debt to be added at a later datenow at Uni as a Mature student -update: now has a First Class BA!0 -
Is it only to use on your current account or any account, I signed up but before I have had chance to use it A&L have closed my current account as I did the Nationwide £100 transfer, but I still have an ISA account with A&L0

This is the first complaint we have received of a customer being charge £1.50 for using the service.
I would be very grateful if you could send a copy of your mobile phone bill so we can investigate this as a matter of urgency.

i got my £10 today
i think overall with the money it cost to go on the internet, and the money spent for recieving the cheaper of the two balances
i think i spent 85p
so £10 for 85p is quite good isnt it0 -
how long does it normally take to get the £10?
