I have seen HDMI cables for £150+ before. Anyone who would pay that amount of money is an utter fool and may as well jump out of a top floor window. If the salesman uses the "you wouldn't put cheap tyres on an expensive car" argument then just tell them that your car doesn't have digital wheels.
As said about a thousand times in this thread a £1 HDMI cable will do the same job as a £100 one. We run a 42" 1080p 3D plasma TV at work on a £5 HDMI cable (needed a longer one than the poundland ones) and it works absolutely fine.0
