Searching for HDMI cable for my PS3

  • You've spent who knows how many weeks looking for a cable. You asked the question on a money saving orientated forum, therefore you should have expected replies pointing to low cost, but perfectly adequate, cables.

It seems to me you are set on dismissing what everybody tells you, unless it's an expensive cable and only from a money making retailer, whose sales assistants wages often depend on the bonus from selling expensive addons (cables, memory cards, blank discs, ink, papaer, etc).

So pop down to Currys, Comet, John Lewis - the more expensive the better it would seem in your case - and buy the most expensive HDMI cable. That's the only way it seems you will be happy.
  • I have not made up my mind yet and definitely to suggest i will buy a £29.99 or an £89.99 cable because it is "branded" and has all dancing cats and the smell of roses around included in the packaging is untrue.

I just want to know if my beliefs are wrong or not.

I am so absolutely convinced you are wrong that if you buy the cable I posted in #46 and it doesn't work I will personally make you a Paypal payment of £2.49.

Worst case for me is that it works but you rip me off.

Worst case for you is that it doesn't work and you are back to where you are now.

Have you read the reviews posted in this thread ? They would tend to suggest your beliefs are incorrect...

OP, I suggest you get a £1000 Monster cable and plug it into your head, because it seems your vision is so fuzzy you can't make out the bleedin' obvious right in front of you.

Stop wasting our and your own time, you have been told your beliefs are 100% wrong yet you refuse to accept it, buy whatever HDMI cable you want and live with it!

If you honestly believe a £29.99 or an £89.99 cable is so much better than a £2 cable then imagine what unbelievable advantages a £399 cable will give you over a £90 cable.

Your beliefs are completely wrong - just buy a cheap cable. In tests where a change of a single shade of colour in a single pixel would be enough to trigger a difference in the detection software, no difference was found between cheap or expensive cables.

Cheap tat - will never match the rich, vibrant, deep colour reproduction and expansive soundstage of this one
