  • Thank you, i know money isnt the be all and end all, and many will say "you will never have enough for children" but i would like some financial stability for my own piece of mind xx

It bugs me when friends & family say 'you will manage'... it's not that easy, and there is no way I could afford £550 for nursery for a baby each month, therefore I will wait rather than end up deeper in debt, sad but thats the way it is xx

I found £5.50 worth of coupons on supersavvyme but they won't print. The printer is working but is wireless. Help. T_T

Have fun watching twilight happy. It's not my cup of tea (I just don't see the attraction to any of the main characters...) but most of my female friends love it : )

As to the kids discussion, I got on better with my brother (3 years older) than my sister (2 minutes younger) when I was younger so don't worry about the age gap. ;)

Hmmmnn mine print via a Couponprinter app which I had to install the first time I used the website, most online vouchers use the same app, I wonder why yours isnt working? My printer is also wireless and sits upstairs out the way in the spare bedroom.

BTW if anyone wants the beans voucher emailed PM me, it ends on 20th Nov so you will need to get in quick xx

  • I know what I forgot.. Geordie Boy has bailed. Apparently the rail replacement to my house tomorrow is just too much for him. Strike Two. Apparently we will meet after he is back from Geordie Land next Monday. I might be busy... for the foreseeable future....:p

I am too determined, too strong willed and too focused to waste "me" time on a man who does not see my worth. And when I say "see my worth" I mean really see it, want it, work for it and be real.

Geordie Boy gives me a feeling of him not being bothered. The man that wins my heart will be bothered and won't be put off by an extra half hour on the bus...

I need rid of my debt, I want to go on holiday on my own, I wan to buy a winter coat from Reiss with no guilt and I want a rose gold watch from Micheal Kors...

I am not going to waste my time on someone who is wasting my time.

    Simples...

Onwards and Upwards on my own...

    You go girl!!!! xx

  • Killer, I have mountains of coupons and no way to print since I actually have no printer... I print them to my desktop to print at a later date haha. It looks like a coupon factory! Some of them will post out to you instead! Try (if there is one) clicking the 'coupon won't print' or 'can't print' etc buttons. Maybe you can get them posted :D

Thanks for all the well dones. Feeling a bit better about spending out on my line rental up front since the broadband company I moved to yesterday upped their prices by £1 a month today! Haha.

In true MSE spirit, I asked twice this week on my facebook for referrers if anyone was with the company I was signing up to anyway. Got 1 person a £20 voucher off their shopping and another £0.50 per month off their broadband!

Annie - I have 2 wayyyyyy older brothers (18 & 14 years older) and 2 sisters, one 8 years older, the other 23 months younger. Growing up I rarely saw the oldest bro, the second oldest I idolised (still do) and my older sister & I went through fits & starts of liking and hating each other depending on how much of a brat I was. My YOUNGER sister though... we quite literally kicked seven shades of somethingorother out of each other from day 1. We started to get on better when I moved out at 18... but due to other factors like her being a psychotic crazy pathological liar, we no longer speak. Being closer in age ain't all it's cracked up to be!

I admire your forward planning (& you Happy!) with kids. I got pregnant accidentally, my DH didn't even live with me properly until a couple of weeks before my daughter was born, & paid zero in bills, rent, food etc. Ironically, since being on maternity leave, and having him move in & pay me a back payment for some of the stuff I paid for for 3 years, I am better off financially than ever, with half the money coming in from my job. My working tax creds, child tax & child benefit add up though. Hope yoiu manage to get your finances sorted soon. & remember, you can always practice in the meantime ;););)

  • I'm giving mine out across Dec. My final day at work will be around about the 9th Dec, so work cards going in then. Family back home, parents coming around the 18th Dec or so, so I will send back with them... Family/friends down here, as & when I see them now!!!

I really need to make a list of people who I still need to get presents for. Got £30 boots points, so that's DH dad & nan done :D

  • Right lets have a look... beans, grandkittens, coupons and Twilight. Is that what tonight is all about??

Nuff with the baby talk and let me get an OH first eh? ALthough I can see how this subject can be hugely frustrating for those that are "in the zone" but also "in the debt"..Happy your time will come, I think it is VERY responsible of you to wait until money settles a little before a bub.. this is how all the cretins that fill the earth with sprogs should be taught...however it may mean we never see babies..

Twilight...blurrrrgh....cheesefest. Can't stand it. Gimme a zombie anyday, at least I can outrun them...Vampire - possible not so much! Aren't they boys in those films.. I need MAN...Wolverine - he'll do! Mwah ha ha ha haaaaaaa!

I need a printer. I want coupons, I want beans. I swear if I could get them on the cheap I would live on beans in December until I go to my parents on the 18th...big shop when I get home in January?..

Well I have had a superbly quiet cooking day although I am still a little tired. I got home by 0730, slept until noon, watched Jamie Oliver 15-Minute meals for an hour ( he lies ) then proceeded to cook a weeks supply of soup using up my leftover carrots and parsnips.. red onion chutney.. tomato sauce for pitta pizzas and pasta and some "hokey pokey" honeycomb courtesy of Nigella Lawson.. I should have been able to crack it by now but it hasn't stiffened.... hmmm google it for the picture.. this is not how mine turned out...:rotfl:

Geordie Boy has not even text. Me thinks I am a pleasant ( and superbly sexy ) gap filler for him. This ain't gonna happen...:p..I ain't filling no ones gap...

I am enjoying reading these posts.. I am a bit pants as I have to sleep now ( flagging ) but Lilt your comments about your sister made me LOL!!..

I shall write more for you all tomorrow but right now I think I might be able to go a super long stretch without any spend days...

I sold another two items on eBay amounting to £15 which I believe takes me above the £1000 repayment mark this month.. I think I need another £300 to make the end of the year challenge work....eek!

Lots of tat posted again...fingers crossed!!

    Onwards and Upwards...

  • I try and stick to a sensible budget and this year is the most organised i have been yay. We are for the first time doing xmas gifts with each other but i can feel the cogs turning thinking of negative wealth it could be paid to.. i need to learn its ok to spend money on myself within reason :-) i would like some ghds i have been using bog standards for over 2 years now as when mine blew and were out of warranty i did not think it was good to spend money like that! but i am pretty proud that we have cleared 3 loans this year and other stuff and i am requesting some nice ghds from santa :). Its amazing how much xmas can cost we can soon get carried away lol x
