  • Aw thanks happy!! I didn't even realise how much they were charging me til I took a good look back a month ago when I realised the balance had dropped by about £30 in a year with £30 payments a month!!!

Well excited for the day they aren't making money from me!! You'll get there too! Just keep saving!! Xx

Well Good Day to you all..

I am sat in my kitchen being eyed up by the Dalmation whilst eating Tesco's el Cheapo pittas with broad bean humus spread all over it.. I like to let the pittas go hard once toasted so I can scrape the humus up with them!! Nom nom nom.......Oh and a cuppa!

My FREE graze box has arrived and I know I have a nice selection of pistaccios, fruit and chocolate bits, sweet onion marmalade and rustic marble bread and salsa mexicanos ( little crackers to dip in salsa ).. very cool for a freebie but not sure I could stretch to a weekly delivery.. I wonder.. works out at £3.94 a box?

I think if I invest in a nice bento box ( the boxes Japanese serve sushi in ) OR get the Tesco tupperware version for £2.50 I could compartmentalise my treats after buying them in bulk from the SM..? I like the idea of this as I could ration what I buy and be more careful with HOW I eat...

My freezer is now stocked with walnut and banana muffins made this morning... one a day, 12 days, happy NSK. I am currently watching a carrot and apricot cake cook. It shall be sliced and frozen as well.. snacks all round I think.

Well I had my beautification evening last night. Hair and eyebrows dyed, soaked efficiently in the tub, scrubbed but no nail painting. I am out of varnish remover and there is nothing worse then having chipped polish so as I don't want to buy any until December I am going to give my nails a break.. doing toes today though. ..thrills!

Well as mentioned above a lovely rounded sum of £15.50 splashed into my paypal.. There is now at least £80 sat in there but I want to get it to £150 before transferring it to my bike loan. That should put me at a £227 over-pay on that loan this month as I already transferred £127 a few weeks ago after the beginning of NOvember..

Few items ending tomorrow and I am going to wait until they are all done and re-start everything together! I have found a few more things but a bigger rummage starts when the carrot cake comes out.... don't want to leave it alone..:rotfl:

Right am off to Skype a girlfriend..

    Onwards and Upwards...

And a big WELCOME to StartingToGetOutOfDebt... we shall henceforth refer to you as STGOOD...so StGood..( love it ) get a sinature set up so we know what you owe.. that way we can cheer etc when things are paid off!!!!

    Debt-free and Proud!

    Hey guys,

i've been lurking for a little while.. keep going to join and then running away again :o lol

I have had debts for a good few years now, i am on a dmp and since joining my new job with a lovely new payrise i feel like i am in a position to finally kick this debts butt and finally be free :j

Sooo... i have worked out that i need to pay approx £420 extra per month on top of my normal monthly dmp (£286) which will make me debt free by dec 2013. This "should" be doable, yes it'll be tight but i've lived off less in the last few years and i think joining in with this challenge will spur me on. The £420 overpayment will be starting from january.

You guys are really motivational and i think sticking into a challenge will keep me motivated to finally be back in control of my finances and to start being able to save again. I mean whats one more year of dedicated debt busting when i've done atleast 4 already.

So hello all and i hope you dont mind me sticking around. :D

  • Yay!! Welcome Unicorns!!! Took me a while to catch up and join in too but this thread literally keeps popping into my brain all day, every time I think of spending I wonder if Kat would and adjust accordingly.

I really hope you can keep motivated to get debt free. Huge congratulations on the new job & payrise!

    Hi StGood! <3

Kat, my sister has a bento box, I think she got her's at john lewis or lakelands. She loves it :) so colourful.

I went out today to buy clothes for work, didn't buy anything other than lunch (£40 and people gave me cash for their shares)... I need clothes that fit >.<
  • Hello everybody, the more the merrier in the thread I might take a peak at some of Kats other challenges :-) tehehehe x

  • Signature added which shows my current debt situation.

I'm hoping to get a couple of hours tomorrow (kids allowing) to list some items on ebay. I've also got loads of books to sort through and am determined to pick half to sell. This will hopefully bring in a bit of cash to start my savings plan. Also had letter from CSA saying I should get some money soon from my very useless ex - providing he stays in his job and doesn't leave it again to avoid paying child support - fingers crossed I'll get money for at least a few months as it will all help!

Homemade scotch eggs made for tea tomorrow - lovely with a bit of salad. Must spend more time making homemade food instead of buying stuff in.

    Here's to good times ahead:)
