  • Rosie - Sorry to hear about the overdraft smack. Have you called thtem yet? I think you need to do that first as they sometimes give concession if its your first time asking for it to be waived ( as opposed to it being the first time you became overdrawn )... Nationwide let me off their horrifc £30 charge once. I think I might drag that out and challenge them since they did it more than once... thanks for the grim reminder...:):):)..lets beat 'em together!

Thanks Ninjasavingkay, will buzz bank tomorrow and hopefully they will be very nice.... xxx

  • Hi Boobie! How's it going?

@Kat: I could be waiting for months or just days. They have a rolling recruitment, there's one position open in Jan and then another 10 in March. With my other jobs, I should hear from one in the next two weeks, the other is temping so it could be anything. : )

Why is doing the washing so difficult! I'm only 2/3s through and my hands are hurting so much : (

@happy: In my family we aren't allowed to do anything about christmas until after my brother's birthday. It was a tool for my parents to stop us driving them nuts ha ha.
  • Good morning/afternoon :D im watching beetlejuice haha. Kat i hope the shift went fast and your sleeping well now. Rosie hope you can sort the overdraft, banks are nasty pieces of work sometime its almost like they sometimes take pleasure out of pushing us to our limits grrr .... alas we are crushing the slowly :) xx

  • Evening my lovlies...

I just found £4.16 in pennies lying around and am well chuffed with myself. More importantly it cannot be an NSD tomorrow as I REALLY need to dye my hair! Eeeek! One must not let ones standards go AWOL even if one is on a very tight budget!!!

I shall also be calling my local college tomorrow as I need a hair cut and they only charge £6. I would like it for £4.16 but beggars ( literally ) can't be choosers. Although I am sure shaving it off would be cheaper in the long run....:rotfl:

So I am noticing my eating habits are a little better now that am limited on the whole snack front. I would sometimes ( not good I know ) have a very large bag of Tesco's cheese puffs, folllwed by tea and toast! This needed to stop as I was very tired coming home from work each night and this kind of eating didn't help much...

Now that I am out of milk I have taken to drinking water. SHOCK HORROR!! Although I needed to do this more anyway...

Am sat watching a dvd from Lovefilm - I need to watch the second series of Walking Dead before I cancel it.. shouldn't have order Puss in Boots...:rotfl:... am sat on my floor about to rummage through a large chest that I have full of haircare / beauty bits to see where my supplies sit..

On a late shift tomorrow so can't go to the shops and an early shift on Tuesday so will have to wait until the evening to buy any food... need to think of something interesting that will get me through until then..

    WOOOOO!!!

    Onwards and Upwards!!!

  • Post up a list of your supplies and we will give you ideas, they might not be standard edible ideas but needs must when your doing the NOvember challange lol :). Im watching channel 5's you've got mail :) x

  • To receive your cashback you must sign up for your first no-obligation free trial. In order to qualify for your cashback, you must add at least ten discs in your rental list and receive at least 1 DVD rental by post. If you take the streaming only offer this term does not apply. For the LOVEFiLM Instant option you must watch 120 minutes of content to qualify.

Right - this makes me think that if you choose the ONLY streaming option you must watch 120 minutes. If you choose the Dvd only option you must have 10 dvds in your list AND have had one posted to you! I do not believe it is both!

    What do you think?

    Hi Kat,

I did the cash back with love film. If you have subscribed to love film instant (streaming) then you only have to watch 120mins which s easily done (a film and a bit). I cancelled mine about 5 days before the 30 day trial ended and I still got the cash back.

    Hope this helps.

  • Thanks for the clarification Candy! This means I qualify already thanks to the OH's obsession with only fools & horses. However, I shan't be cancelling... as I am finding it pretty awesome being able to watch all of this stuff on livestreaming! I'm thinking of it like this though... £4.99 a month, is WAY better than the £50ish SkyTV I was planning to sign up to on the day my debts were paid! Lol.

Kat, I have literally started jumping with excitement when I find a spare 5p in the bottom of the washing hamper! ;) This method/emptying my purse of shrapnel regularly, has netted me over £80 back into my bank account in the last few months, no joke!

I did the demotivator earlier regarding meeting my mummy friend in Starbucks. Apparently, over the course of my life I will spend £10,600 in Starbucks, and spend 1.1 weeks a year working to pay for my habit. The GUILT!

I am off to bed. Work tomorrow 8am to 4pm. Supposed to be receiving grocery vouchers from boss lady as I have run out of the goverment keeping in touch maternity days; but have had a pre-emptory text saying she has been too busy & will be giving me cash. Do I jump for joy at this?!

Total cashback earned this week, £72.61 and 751 free maximiles :)
