Ooh, you're good! I just emailed her back asking if she can make it before 8 so I'll wait and see what she says. Good idea about having someone on the phone - due a catch up with my mate later anyway! I do live on my own but my house backs onto my neighbour's and I can hear their conversations sometimes so they'd definitely hear a holler!

Phew, thanks. I'll update here at 9.31 when she's gone :D

Just a quick update - I'm dropping it off to her tomorrow. She was happy enough to give me her address so I'm sure all's fine. I'll do the friend on the phone thing and stay outside!

OK people, back to money making - how did everyone's day go?

Kat, shouldn't you be busy with young Geordie boy?
  • I'm getting no service on O2.. Can't contact him! He either thinks I'm ignoring him, is still coming or has cancelled.. Damn O2. However I am hitting eBay as we speak.. Well done on the arrangements though!!

There's an interesting mystery :D I hope he shows I hope he shows I hope he shows!!!!!!

Yes, I'm busy ebaying as well. Ran out of steam photographing this afternoon when my livingroom looked like a badly organised Oxfam, but I have a load things listed that I need to get rid of so, even if only some of them sell, it's an afternoon well spent!

Had a nice chat with my 17 and 365/366 year old niece this evening. She's such a nice girl that I'm glad I decided on the iPod. I'll pay the car money into the bank tomorrow then order it online. Bless her, she has an exam tomorrow (her b'day) so she's off out tonight for a slap up meal with her boyfriend then an early night! My sister kindly had all her children 2 years apart so I have 2 years to save for the next 18th!

Moneywise, today was a NSD and a big money making day - £650 for the car (see, I'm happy I sold it!), ebay listings to the value of at least £50 ending in the next few hours so I made money lounging around in my warm living room :D Also froze my AA membership, cancelled the old car insurance and dug out a receipt which I can claim on expenses from work :j

Now all I need to do is make dinner out of what's left in my cupboard :D
  • Well done Siouxie!!!

I am sat in bed with LOTR on one old laptop ( not worth selling ) whilst tap tap tapping on my netbook! I am about to list my lovely shabby chic vintage teacups and am wondering whether I am being too ruthless.. they are superbly heavy as well so I doubt anyone will pay £15 delivery.. well you never know..I have offered for folks to pick 'em up.. Anyone finding eBay is very slow tonight. Probably everyone on there making use of the no insertion fee...

Geordie Boy has had to work... suits me right now...

It has been an NSD for me to. I have planned the week carefully and know where all my funds are going.. its next week I am worrying about. Well.. I think I shall face that next Sunday! LOL!I have though managed to make a yummy chill con quorn type thing with lots of rice and naan breads... nom nom nom...

Think it's time to wait with eBay as its driving me nuts and dig around on my book shelf...

Ha ha, money and boys don't mix very well in my experience!! You sound like you're having a fine night without him :D I thought it was just my laptop being a bit slow but you could be right about everyone being on ebay. I hope they take a look at our stuff while they're on! Are you just listing tonight or do you have auctions ending?

With your teacups, you never know who's looking at ebay - remember my tale of the half used cream that created a bidding war? All it takes is the right person to see your listing and they'll buy it. If it doesn't happen this time, there'll be another free listing weekend along soon.

What sites have you tried to sell your books on? Did you get anywhere today with the funny ISBN ones? I like Amazon and Green Metropolis as you can list them and forget about them.

I just got an email from someone wanting to come and see one the landlady's chairs I was going to throw away - yeay, that might be another tenner off my debt if he buys :D

Whoop whoop to Sunday nights in PJs saving/making money :rotfl:

Happy, why don't you try calling Apple? They offered to replace my iPhone4 for £120 when I smashed the screen last month, which is cheaper than I could even buy a 2nd hand one. They may be able to offer some advice as well.
