Kat, how did you get on with your Halifax Reward? Mine went in today :D I still haven't heard from Nationwide and I think I applied the same day as you did. Strange, the website said I had been accepted and I would receive a letter within 5 working days. Must call them tomorrow....

Good morning folks... feels like afternoon already.

I went to bed at somewhere around 8pm last night accidentally.. fully dressed. I woke up at 6am with glorious sunshine streaming into the room & Jellytot singing in her bedroom. Still in my clothes.. Oops. So of course, like any normal person, I got up and put my pyjamas on to sit & have a coffee.

Siouxsie are you bonkers?! You live in the London area & went out field agenting after 10:30pm?!?! I applaud your MSE skills but please do be careful!!!!!!

Kat, I'm sitting here in awe. I actually think that by the end of this month, you will have paid off more than £10k from your total, since October... Unbelievable. Just shows what you can do when you put your mind to it!

His Missus - I actually cannot believe I managed to accrue so much so soon. Still a bit shocked. I am sure you will catch me up fast & overtake me as the offers which allowed me to scoop so many tesco & nectar points have dried up or I've used them too much! :D

I cooked up a gigantic Kat special stew last night :) As per your recipe Kat, except I added some red pepper & courgette into the mix with the potato (I was too cheap to buy ready cooked potato cubes so cubed my own & cooked them separately :rotfl:) - fed us huge bowls last night & have the same for tonight. I'm trying very hard to cut down on the amount of meat we eat!

Anyone know how I might obtain some blue & white interior wood paint without spending £11.99 a pot in homebase? I want to revamp some of my free hand me down furniture, but the paint costs more than the furniture did even brand new!

Lilt, have you tried freecycle or even asking on facebook etc? Someone might have half a used tub hiding away in a cupboard or shed

Eh, probably! Thanks for being concerned, it was all perfectly safe though as I took my car and kept the doors locked (except when I was standing like a loon trying to take photos of bill boards!). And I have now cashed out my £25 and am just waiting for it to reach my bank account :)

I managed to superglue a screw back onto a bag that I was about to send to be repaired so I've saved ££s and have a fully functioning bag :T I managed to get a bit of glue on my lip  Maybe that's where I need to be careful lilt :rotfl:

Called Nationwide to chase up my application and it's all been approved. All the need is a signature so they're sending the bits and bobs out to me - finally! Interest free overdraft and £70 Quidco cashback :D

I have a massive list of things to do today before working later - including finding that pesky spider that's still on the loose in my living room. Makes me jump out of my skin each time I see it!!

:D:D That's brilliant. It really is easy money in that case then isn't it! Well done you! I like field agent but I'm not travelling 24 miles to get £4 so it's pretty limited for me!

Great news on the bag, although how on earth did you manage to get superglue on your LIP?!?!:eek: That sounds like something I would do (I do it all the time). Hope it's not left any lasting marks.

I am SO PLEASED!! Well done you for getting the OD approved. Another chunk onto 0% for you :) what does the snowball calculator say? I'm sure your savings will be brilliant from it.

Oh dear, my old ginger cat (the one with no teeth) hobbled in last night with a swollen foot so he's off to the vets Friday morning (the first appt we could get) I think he's been attacked like the little one was, it certainly looks a very similar injury. More unplanned expense, eek!

    Good Evening Kittens..

I feel a little sick, am always hungry recently, exhausted with no energy and could sleep for a week! I think all that OT is catching up on me!

Not ignoring you all .. just trying to stay at work now is an effort. I really need a new job - I am not thrilled with my current one and it's not challenging in the slightest..

The list consists so far of the following...
    • Storm chaser
    • Unicorn Breeder
    • Sleep Study Volunteer
    • Food Study Volunteer
    • Kitty Cat Hugger

    Any more suggestions ..?

Maybe move your debt-free date back by a month so that you are not nearly killing yourself? xx

Listerbelle exactly what my mother says. It's not an option though. That date is set in stone and unfortunately the OT in the last few weeks was compulsory.. My everyday weekend OT is do-able. I am just now getting greedy having realised how much is coming my way at the end of June... it's not something I can replicate anyway unless something goes up the creek again at work....

    Evening ladies & gent.

Kat you are worrying me. I think a lack of food & too much work are combining to make you ill. You need to be careful with yourself, please. Maybe mumsie is right & you can take your foot off the gas pedal just for a couple of weeks & try & relax a bit. Debt free by the end of January would still be a truly amazing feat...

Hope everyone else is having a good day today. I have been working my little bum off all day but not getting very far with it. Number crunching is only any good when you have all the figures in front of you & my boss may have accidentally omitted a couple of numbers in this months figures when she passed them across. :( I had such brain ache I had to borrow a couple of painkillers & start drinking de-caf!

Had stew for tea again Kat. 3 meals for 2 people it managed :D Saving on gas as well as food bill! :D
Good job too, since, as my sig tells.. we have to last until the 14th without spending a penny on food. I set a budget of £40 per week. Overspent by £31.50 on my online shop last Friday (free delivery as well) and then added another £16.09 to it in yellow sticker shopping later on. So this weeks budget was entirely used up last week & we owe next weeks £40 shop £7.59... :rotfl: time to get creative. I've got 24 extra large free range eggs, kindly delivered by the egg man who comes to my work weekly, & paid for by my friend <3 *off to research egg recipes*
